The Temple of Khafre was discovered in 1852, then it was completely covered with sand, but it was excavated and it turned out that the structure was preserved very well.

Initially, the object was named the Temple of the Sphinx, but later, because of the nearby pyramid of Khafre, the temple began to be called the same way.

So why is it so interesting and incredible? The most important thing is, of course, the blocks used in construction. Their average weight reaches 150 tons, which is one of the largest in the world, used in this quantity and scale.

No less interesting is that all the walls, columns and other elements are made of granite, and the floor of the temple is made of limestone slabs. As far as is known, blocks were cut in the nearest quarries, but how they were delivered and installed is unknown.

If you pay attention to the walls of the temple, it becomes obvious that they did it according to the most accurate calculations, otherwise it is simply impossible to do everything so perfectly.

Moreover, each block, without exception, weighed 100-150 tons, which is quite rare in ancient structures.

The processing of each of the blocks is no less impressive than the masonry itself. In general, the temple of Khafre somehow looks too perfect, but we don't even know how old it is and who the creators of the object are.

There are some versions, but this age will again be inaccurate, since scientists are based on a pyramid or something else, which, in fact, may not be associated with the temple at all.

It is worth noting the rather rare technology of rounding megaliths in the temple, which is found in the units of structures.

In one of the parts of the temple, in the corner, you can see how the megaliths were rounded with an unknown technology.

By the way, with regard to processing by means of primitive tools and rough work, in which historians and scientists always assure everyone, there are no traces of rough work at all, in principle, as in many other ancient objects.

In general, the temple is truly amazing, in all plans, from huge blocks to unknown technologies, for example, rounding of corners in blocks.

But the temple of Khafre itself, as I said above, is far from the most popular, due to the fact that there is not much to see there, at least for ordinary tourists.

As usual, I have doubts that this is generally a temple. Although historians have little imagination and they attribute almost any structure to a funeral or religious purpose.

There is information that in the past there were statues of Pharaoh Khafre in the temple, but not the fact that they were created by the original builders of the temple itself.

Summing up all this, we can only state one thing, the civilization that built the temple of Khafre had advanced technologies, most likely superior to ours at times, and this proves many facts and traces, but this does not apply to modern scientists, so one can only guess what kind of civilization existed in thousands or tens of thousands of years in Egypt.
