The Russian company "Kriorus" announced the conclusion of an agreement with the concern "Space Technologies" (Russia). According to which cryocapsules will be delivered to the near-earth orbit, in which frozen human bodies and brains will be located.
Kriorus said in a statement that the proposal to keep human bodies and brains in orbit is innovative and unique in the world. It is planned that for this purpose specialized cryocapsules will be used, protected from space effects by specialized systems and technologies. The satellite capsules will be monitored and controlled from the ground, and in the event of a capsule breakdown, it is planned that it will be repaired by a specialized repair satellite, which is already being developed by scientists from Russia.
The delivery of frozen human bodies and brains into orbit in cryocapsules-satellites is planned on launch vehicles using the capacities of "Space Technologies". This can be done both as part of a "consolidated" cargo, which will be sent, for example, to the ISS, or as a single "delivery". According to preliminary data, preparation for a "single delivery" of a frozen brain in a cryocapsule into orbit will take about two years, and its cost will be at least 250 thousand US dollars.
The message emphasizes that the activities of the Russian company Kriorus will be based on compliance with all legal agreements in the field of international space relations and in the field of cryobionics.
