People turned away from the Source of beauty and were carried away by impermanent physical objects of beauty, which grant only fleeting imperfect “happiness”, and then leave unhealed wounds and emptiness in the soul.

People have forgotten that the greatest discovery for the soul is that God Himself is indescribably beautiful! Of course, He is Spirit, and therefore we cannot see Him physically, but all His creation shouts to us that the Creator is beautiful in everything. Also, His actions speak for themselves. We cannot help but admire the power of His love, which He showed to sinful people, in order to deliver us from the bondage of sin and from eternal painful punishment, and to give us true happiness, eternal life in the presence of the most amazing and perfect Object of beauty.
