After bringing the abducted UFO on board and preparing for basic procedures, the small gray creatures begin a physical examination.
“After placing the abductant on the table, he is surrounded by two to four small creatures. He is unable to move or speak. Although the abductee may be confused and frightened, he still has self-awareness. His eyes are open and he can watch what is happening.
In most cases, the examination takes no longer than ten to twenty minutes. Small creatures work fast. They are absorbed in completing their assigned tasks. They are fast, efficient and focused. They are targeted to specific anatomical areas for a groping "touch procedure". Their fingers move quickly. According to one of the abducted, they were typing on his body.
The standard examination template starts with the legs. The aliens carefully examine and touch the lower legs of the abducted person. Sometimes, with a sharp instrument, they scrape the soles of their feet, causing them to react in an obvious reflex test. They quickly touch the ankles and twist the feet from side to side. They move up the leg and squeeze the muscles of the lower leg. Sometimes they squeeze the area between the bone and the muscles of the lower leg strongly and painfully. When examining the legs and knees, small creatures can make a painless incision in the lower leg, thigh, under the knee, or in the arm. The cut can be scoop-shaped or a long, thin cut, or a wide, coarse cut. The abductant usually does not report any blood or lengthy healing process. The scar forms almost immediately. The subject may have a very dim understanding of what the aliens are doing and, after being abducted, may not remember where they got the mysterious scar.
Small creatures palpate the abducted thighs. They perform a quick gynecological examination of women. A small creature can “scrape” the vaginal or uterine wall with some instrument and extract the material using a method similar to the Pap smear procedure. It uses tools that in some cases resemble butter knives. Sometimes the alien only feels the thighs. The genitals of men and boys are palpated and carefully examined.
After genital examination, the small creatures carefully examine the subject's ribs and chest. Sometimes aliens make a small incision in the left side. They then raise the subject's arms above their head and examine and feel the armpits and possibly lymph nodes. Then they return his arms to the side position.
For women, the next phase is a breast examination. Sometimes the abducted person feels a strong and painful squeeze around the nipple, as if the creatures are trying to squeeze out fluid. If the woman is not pregnant, but some liquid appears, the aliens collect it on a certain instrument and either place it in a container on the table, or take the sample out of the room. Sometimes, during or immediately after palpation, women feel “warmth,” “heaviness,” or swelling in their breasts. Also, little creatures take milk from pregnant women; even women who were not pregnant reported that they inexplicably began secreting milk.

The small creatures then concentrate on the subject's head. One of them places his hands on either side of the abductant's temples and carefully turns his head from side to side. They then examine the ears with an instrument like an otoscope, and then examine each eye, usually with a light-emitting device like an ophthalmoscope. Small creatures open and examine the mouth of the abducted. Often they put something in there and scrape the back of the throat. They can force a large lump of some material into the subject's throat and then remove it, causing the subject to gag and cough. They then examine the teeth and gums. They feel the mouth with their fingers. They can cut a piece of the gum.
The small creatures then palpate the neck - they gently feel this area, paying particular attention to the thyroid gland. In this case, the abducted person may choke a little. Sometimes it is unnerving because the person begins to think that he is being strangled. Usually the creatures do it gently, causing only slight discomfort.
After the examination of the head is over, according to the description of some of the abducted, the aliens raise him "like a rag doll" and place him in a sitting position. Muscle tone is still largely absent. A person sees his own legs in front of him and creatures position him so that he does not fall to the side. As soon as the abductor assumes this position, the aliens carefully examine the back and spine. They can take a tissue sample from the back, but more often they continue to feel, which is a constant feature of the entire physical examination. They methodically touch and press on every single vertebra from the neck to the coccyx; and do this several times. After examining the spine and back, the aliens turn the abducted to the left side. In this position, they can check and feel the spine again. After that, they do a rectal examination. They use a variety of tools, one of which resembles a small wire broom. They put it in and out. When the rectal exam is over, the creatures rotate the abductant onto the abdomen. They examine the back of the legs again. They can take tissue samples, especially from the back of the knee. Often abductees report that creatures "measure" him from hip to heel or to top. Finally, the creatures roll the abducted onto its back again.
Essentially, this is where the survey ends. But there are many variations. Creatures can start at the head and move down and then up again. They can start with a pelvic exam. They can start by examining the spine. Regardless of where the process begins, they work systematically around the body until the examination is complete.
