Video: FRANKENSTEIN CASTLE in GERMANY | Mystical Place - Interesting History | Top Halloween Spot 2024, September
Anonim

Lovers of the supernatural have always been attracted by ancient castles, especially if ghosts live in them. Some people really like scary stories, shrouded in legends and mysticism. It is worth saying that there are many such places on Earth.

The legend of a beautiful princess who was locked in a tower, the heroic deeds of knights - if all these stories are connected with castles, then they capture hearts. I would like to quickly walk along narrow corridors, go down to the basement or climb the stairs to the very top of the stone towers. And when the story is connected with enemies, evil spirits or beheaded prisoners, it is even more impressive.

Medieval castles have always been considered popular tourist attractions. Some serve as museums of weapons and armor, while others are famous for antique handcrafted furniture, parks and gardens. But each has its own individual story, sometimes completely non-positive. There are castles in which ghosts live or "gates of hell" are located. And there are objects whose history tells about inhuman experiments or the creation of terrible monsters.

German Frankenstein Castle

This castle, located near the German Darmstadt, is still a gloomy legend. Its owner - the scientist Joseph Konrad Dippel von Frankenstein, was famous among the local population for bad rumors. Residents claimed that the alchemist was associated with the Devil and even sold his soul to him. Some said that he dug the bodies of the dead from fresh graves and conducted experiments on them. After a powerful explosion that destroyed one of the castle's towers, Dr. Frankenstein was dubbed a sorcerer. Since then, the locals have avoided this place.

It soon turned out that the alchemist had disappeared from the castle. The authorities were looking for him throughout the building, and for a long time they could not find him. But one curious investigator found a secret door leading to the alchemist's laboratory. When everyone entered the room, they were shocked by what they saw. Dr. Frankenstein's face was distorted by a terrible grimace, white foam froze around his mouth, and severed fragments of rotting flesh lay scattered around the corpse. Who killed the alchemist, it was not possible to find out. However, the locals believe that the one to whom he sold his soul came for him.

Since that time, the ghost of the alchemist has often appeared in the castle. Sometimes he can be seen on the roof, sometimes in the cemetery. Locals even claim that they hear Frankenstein, rattling his bones, demands to be taken to the laboratory. And although the castle has already been destroyed in our time, tourists do not stop visiting this place, and local youth celebrate Halloween here every year.

Czech castle Gouska

This castle, founded by King Přemysl Otakar II back in the 13th century, also has its own legend, rooted in the depths of the earth …

The fortress is located on a rock in which there was once a mysterious rift. Eyewitnesses saw how terrible unknown creatures crawled out of the rift. They roamed around the castle and attacked people who accidentally came to meet them. The locals began to call this place “the road to hell”. The inhabitants of the village did not try to do everything to close the road for the monsters: they threw stones and logs at the crack, read prayers. However, evil always came to the top.

The inhabitants of the village decided to check what was in this fault, and agreed with the criminal sentenced to death, who would go downstairs and then tell about what he saw. The man was lowered, but when they got back, he was dead. A terrible grimace froze on his face, and his hair turned completely white. The rope he was tied to smelled of sulfur.

People were very scared and went to extreme measures. They began to collect boulders and stones all over the area and threw a crack, and then they built a chapel on that place. Already from this chapel Gouska Castle grew.

Scientists still cannot understand why this castle was built in such a way that its walls contain an internal threat, and not protect from an external enemy? Why are the balconies of the fortress built so that archers can only hit targets in the courtyard?

Modern experts could not explain the rationality of the construction of the castle. After all, it is completely unprofitable from a strategic point of view: it is located in a desert area, it has no main communication routes. There is no water source nearby. The castle was never a royal residence or even served as a frontier post.

Scientists have noted the presence of strange frescoes inside the building. They depict the archangels Michael and Gabriel, as well as Saint Christophe, depicted with a dog's head. Another oddity is that you will never hear birds singing in the area. It is simply impossible to explain the mysterious death of the birds around the castle or the strange behavior of the dogs that accidentally wandered into this territory. Very often, visitors complain about not feeling well when they visit the castle. Modern scientists have linked these phenomena to the large amount of radon found underground in the area.

More recently, British researchers of a pair of normal phenomena, equipped with the most advanced technical means, began to study some areas in the castle. Perhaps they can provide a scientific explanation for what is happening. And we can only guess who or what the locals were so afraid of, and what secrets are kept by the rift that they have walled up?
