" Perhaps in our days, Mephistopheles has taken on the form corresponding to modern civilization.
Plates have always flown
The first images of UFOs that have come down to our time were found on the walls of caves in Spain, France, and China. Their approximate age is 10-15 thousand years. In Japan, in the province of Kyushu, the tomb of King Chin-san depicts a sovereign welcoming seven flying discs.
We find an abundance of such facts in documents dating back to the Middle Ages. Again, these were disks. They were observed in the skies over Ireland, Sweden, Japan … In Russia on September 1, 1808, an unidentified flying object in the form of "a long straight plate that glowed with a phosphoric glow" slowly floated over the Moscow Kremlin. The document was found in one of the archives, in the "Collection of Curious Papers" of Senator, Privy Councilor Pyotr Semenovich Poludensky (1777-1852).
The unknown author of the message probably intended to publish the article in the newspaper Moskovskie vedomosti or another publication. But the correspondent did not know that the censorship did not let such information into the press, so as "not to cause indignation of minds"; besides, these phenomena had to be given a more or less intelligible explanation.
by the way, in percentage terms, there are not so many phenomena associated with UFOs that cannot be explained. In his book “The UFO Phenomenon. A View from Russia”, published in 1994, the ufologist German Kolchin cites the following statistics:“A careful analysis of the most interesting eyewitness reports of alleged UFOs showed that in 225 cases they turned out to be aircraft or artificial satellites of the Earth; in 211 cases these were fragments of various cosmic bodies; 8 rejected for other reasons; and only 76 (14%) remained unexplained."
This means that 14% do not have an intelligible interpretation. However, the Church took responsibility for explaining such miracles.

Fallen angels
The priests have repeatedly noted that an unbeliever easily accepts the extraterrestrial origin of UFOs for truth and laughs at the mention of the existence of fallen angels on Earth - this cannot be, because it can never be. But let's arm ourselves with another thesis: everything is possible in our world.
According to the Christian Scripture, at first the devil was a holy and bright angel. But at some point, a significant number of angels turned into dark demons. The world of celestials became inaccessible to them. All their attention turned to Earth. The main task of the fallen angels was to sow evil among people, to destroy human souls.
Evil forces consist of a substance more subtle than the substance of the human body. Therefore, they are much freer in their actions than people. And they know much more than we do about the structure and laws of the Universe, and also possess the means that allow them to overcome the laws of the visible world. The preacher John Chrysostom noted that if we saw "their terrible and disgusting image, then we would be subject to insanity." Our gross material body protects us from the direct vision of demons.
UFOs and evil spirits
At one time, the artist Nikolai Potapov (by the way, he captured various anomalous phenomena in his paintings) told me an incident that happened to him and his comrades.
- In 1983 we were in the Pamirs. Another group from Voronezh was standing next to us. On August 1, the following happened to us. At 23:00, members of the Voronezh group noticed a strange star that had not been observed before. Then we examined four more stars through binoculars. We soon determined that it was an object with portholes. It was over 100 meters in diameter. We were clearly being watched. To be sure of our assumption, we expressed the wish: "If you see us, blink." The middle porthole lit up and went out.
At 00:45, the eyewitnesses felt fear, even horror. However, they were able to contact the base camp and told about everything. After the promised help from the main camp, everything stopped. The sense of the presence of someone disappeared, the fear and the object itself disappeared.
The tragedy that occurred in February 1959 in the region of Mount Otorten in the Northern Urals is widely known. We are talking about the mysterious death of nine skiers of the Sverdlovsk Polytechnic Institute. They were found in deep snow at a distance of 500-1000 meters from the tent in which they spent the night. The students were dressed in any fashion. The tent was cut with a knife, that is, the skiers, out of terror, tried to quickly leave their place of lodging. They all had eye injuries, as if from electric welding. The branches of the trees at the site of the tragedy were scorched. Local residents said that it was on these days that fireballs flew over Mount Otorten. And one hunter saw something bright like the sun rise from the ground that night.
In 1992, the first edition of the original research of the priest Rodion “People and Demons. Images of Temptation of Modern Man by Fallen Spirits. The brochure provides a summary table: in one column - characteristics of the impact of UFOs and enlonauts on people; in another - the characteristics of the influence of unclean spirits on people.
The above examples indicate that when a UFO approaches, a person experiences a keen sense of fear and even horror. This moment is noted in the table. Then we read: "UFOs in a number of cases behave extremely aggressively: they destroy and break equipment, injure and even kill people." The book by German Kolchin cites data for 1978: “Out of 141 cases of the physiological impact of UFOs on people, 89 cases were recorded when people were paralyzed or lost consciousness, and 70 cases when they received burns … Cases of deaths under the influence of UFO rays were recorded in 1967 in Crixas (Brazil) and 1968 near Auckland (New Zealand)."
In 1968, a Colombian farmer from Apolaima, Bermudez, approached six meters of a luminous disc-shaped object flying low above the ground. Two blue beams emanated from the apparatus. A couple of days later, the farmer felt unwell, became cold, he began to vomit black and bloody diarrhea. He died soon after …
From another column of the summary table of the priest Rodion about the impact of evil spirits on monks, we read: “Demons are the enemies of the human race, their task is to lead a person to eternal death. They break cells, spoil people's belongings, beat the ascetics and even bring some to death. Here is another point from the summary table compiled by priest Rodion: "The appearance of the enlonauts is different: they are giants and dwarfs, freaks and handsome men, women and men." Most often, demons take those forms that are most understandable to modern man and in which it is easiest to seduce him. Evil spirits also appeared to monks in different guises: "… giants and dwarfs, freaks and handsome men, women and men, reptiles and beasts."
In total, the table contains 10 points according to which aliens from other planets are similar in their impact on humans and in their appearance with demons.
