This castle, built in the first half of the 13th century, was once the seat of the king of Bohemia. According to legend, there is an entrance to hell under the building. This is a large hole or well in the ground, which is so deep that you cannot see its bottom.

Allegedly, the locals more than once observed how strange creatures - half-humans, half-animals - emerged from the mysterious pit, as well as winged monsters flew out. In the Middle Ages, those sentenced to death were promised pardon if they descended into the hellish pit in Gouska. They were asked to go down on a rope, then go back and tell what they saw there.

The first convict, who agreed to receive life and freedom in this way, barely descended into the pit, began to scream terribly. When they pulled him upstairs, he looked like a very old man, although he was still a young man.

The owners of the castle decided to fill up the ominous well. This took three whole years, since there was practically no bottom at the pit.

Also here, according to legend, there are ghosts of a robber and a black hen. The first is looking for the second, so that she would help him gain eternal life.
