Since at least the 12th century, people have dreamed of building a perpetual motion machine - a device that will continue to work indefinitely without any external source of energy.

Most of the scientific community believes that such a device would violate the laws of thermodynamics, and therefore its existence is impossible.

But can it be that we, as a race, simply do not fully understand the very laws of physics, and such an engine is actually possible? What opportunities will open up before us if we really manage to build such a device?

The Norwegian mathematician Reidar Finsrud has developed what he believes to be the first true perpetual motion machine. Take a look at this video and make your own opinion about it:

The main and most important property of a perpetual motion machine is that it is actually an endless source of energy.

The device, which does not require external power to operate, can be connected to a generator to generate free energy and power whatever we want. This is clearly a dangerous and controversial idea when you consider the fantastic money that energy companies around the world are making.

But the decision remains with us. Do you think Finsrud really managed to create a real perpetual motion machine?
