The Roswell Incident is, in UFO terms, an event in which an unidentified flying object crashed near Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. According to one theory, the pilots of this aircraft were representatives of an extraterrestrial civilization who were captured by US troops. After the crash, the story was quickly forgotten, but in 1970, after an interview with former Major of the US Army Jesse Marcel, it became popular and discussed again.
Events and subsequent popularity
On the morning of July 3, 1947, farmer Mark Braisal was missing several sheep. There was a thunderstorm the day before, and Mark decided to go in search of livestock. During the inspection of the territory, he came across the wreckage of a certain structure. Having collected all the components, the farmer decided to take them to Sheriff Wilcox, who was at the Roswell military base. Breisel managed to reach the base only on July 6, and on the 8th the find was handed over to the military, while the farmer himself was arrested and interrogated. After he was released, the head of the base decided to convene a conference on the crash. Then it was said that an object similar to a "flying saucer" fell near the farm, but Army General Reimi hastened to refute this information, calling the incident a failed test of the latest aircraft. As for Mark himself,he rarely gave interviews after the incident and was very reserved in his speech. History was gradually forgotten.
Only in 1970, Major Marcel (the officer who was tasked with searching the territory for additional debris) gave an interview, during which he told how the real debris was replaced with decorative ones. The true remains of the UFO were sent for scientific examination, after which the case was taken under personal control by the FBI. The incident again received widespread resonance and there were eyewitnesses who claimed to have seen the bodies of humanoid creatures near the crash site. There was plenty of evidence for this, so some ufologists consider the Roswell Incident as irrefutable proof of the existence of an alien civilization. Is it true or not? The answer is extremely difficult. But one fact prevents you from knowing the whole truth about this story. The fact is that to this day, the US intelligence services carefully conceal information about the events of 1947. There are known caseswhen, during a radio broadcast on the Roswell Incident, the signal disappeared at the request of high-ranking officials.
In addition, in 1995, a film was released showing an autopsy of an alien from a flying saucer. The video turned out to be partly fake: the author himself admitted it, but he also clarified that the events shown in his film are a reconstruction of real events in 1947, and 5% of the frames on the film are original.
