And this should happen in the very near future. This conclusion allowed scientists to make the result of a study, the purpose of which was to establish whether the existence of life outside the Earth is possible.
This announcement was made on Monday. Professor Martin Dominik, who is one of the authors of the report, claims that it is safe to assume that extraterrestrial civilizations exist. There are several dozen of them, which follows from Drake's formula, which can be used to establish the number of existing civilizations - this formula was named after Frank Drake, professor of astrophysics and astronomy, who derived it in 1960. However, if we talk about intelligent life forms, this number is much higher, the professor emphasized.
Theologians who also took part in the research say that a meeting with aliens, which will take place soon, will destroy all existing religions. The worldview according to which God created man is hopelessly outdated. With the new knowledge that humanity will receive, it will simply be destroyed.
Professor Dominic and his team argue that evolution was not only on our planet, but also on others - this explains the fact that life on them is similar to ours. Therefore, one should not write off the possible threat from the aliens - after all, they can, just like people, be prone to violence. But, nevertheless, the professor emphasizes that you should not be afraid of them, because events can unfold in a completely different way than what science fiction writers describe. Meanwhile, the famous astrophysicist Stephen Hawking claims that a meeting with aliens will not end well, as they simply use the planet's resources for their own needs.
British scientists have put forward a proposal that it might be useful to create a special structure that would resolve all issues related to meeting with the inhabitants of other planets.
