Our solar system is located at the very edge of the galaxy and has nine planets. At first glance, this does not seem very much, especially since all of them except for the Earth are lifeless, and some are not even formed. The absence of a biosphere on them, and indeed the absence of proven signs of any alien life, seems to say that humanity is the only species for thousands of light years around, but this is not so. Scientists have long and seriously considered the version of the existence of parallel worlds, which may be in our universe, where the twins of each of us live.
In a simple interpretation, parallel worlds within the universe can be thought of as air bubbles in a cauldron of boiling water. Each of them exists separately and never meets the other. No one doubts that absolutely any matter has a double, the proof of this is a mirror. While some might argue that reflection is just an optical effect achieved by silver oxide applied to glass, the mirror has long been considered a kind of doorway between realities.
