Maybe you don't need to fly into space to meet aliens

Belief in the supernatural, dreams that we are not alone in the Universe, the desire to find some kind of gateway to another dimension - all this has been characteristic of humanity for a long time. Skeptics will say that nothing like this can be in reality - however, reality is unpredictable and has not been fully studied, to put it mildly. Who knows, perhaps the legends about the gateways to parallel worlds are not just fiction? One way or another, there are several places on the planet that enjoy mysterious fame.

Stonehenge

In England, in Wiltshire, one of the most famous archaeological sites on the planet is located. Who and why built this mysterious structure of giant stones is not clear - scientists have not come to a common conclusion on this score. It is only clear that many stones were delivered here hundreds of kilometers away and processed in several stages.

Some archaeologists are of the opinion that Stonehenge is the work of sun worshipers, others suggest that this place could be something like an ancient observatory - especially since on the day of the summer solstice the sun is directly above the so-called Heel Stone.

There is also a theory that some kind of stargate is located here. Its supporters never tire of reminding the mistrustful of the strange disappearance of the hippie company, which came here in August 1971 and, according to unverified reports, tried to activate the gate. Young people set up camp near Stonehenge - and at night eyewitnesses observed bright lightning, blue light of unknown origin, heard human screams. The next morning the tent camp was intact, and even a fire was burning - but there was not a single person around; the police never figured out where the people had gone.

Stones in the Michigan Triangle

In 2007, while searching for sunken ships at the bottom of Lake Michigan, at a depth of 12 meters, a structure of stones was discovered, strangely reminiscent of Stonehenge. On one of the stones, archaeologists found a drawing depicting a mastodon - a gigantic proboscis mammal that died out about ten thousand years ago. It has been suggested that the dilapidated building of stones is the remnant of a stargate that once operated.

Interestingly, the structure was found in a place called the Michigan Triangle; here, as in the Bermuda Triangle, people have repeatedly disappeared. So, in 1937, the captain disappeared from the locked cabin without a trace from the McFarland vessel crossing the lake.

Temple of the Kings

In the ancient Egyptian city of Abydos in the 13th century BC, the Pharaohs of Seti I and his son Ramses II built the Temple of the Kings. He had a non-standard, L-shaped. There was a room in it, the purpose of which the archaeologists had not determined - a deaf closed room with stone walls without drawings; room without air access and with a hole in the floor. In the painting of the temple, there are hieroglyphs, the meaning of which could not be deciphered - they very much resemble modern air transport like helicopters.

At the beginning of the 20th century, an English girl Dorothy Idee went to Egypt, to the temple excavation site, where she told stunned archaeologists that in her past life she was an Egyptian peasant woman and the secret mistress of Pharaoh Seti I; that she became pregnant with him and had to commit suicide to avoid shame. Dorothy claimed to be able to read ancient texts (and indeed she could), that she knew where to dig (and gave scientists some valuable guidance).

In 2003, Michael Schratt, a NASA military engineer, told reporters that a gateway to another world had been found at the Abydos site and that scientists had already passed through it.

Gate of the Gods in Peru

In 1996, a scientist named Qatar Mamani in the Puerto de Haiu Marka area discovered a huge door carved into the rock. There was a hole in the door that looked like a giant keyhole. Later, Mamani admitted that he had found the gate (that it was a gate leading to another world, he did not doubt) more than once dreamed of him even before he found them; a pink marble road led up to them, and a bright blue light streamed from the gate.

Locals claim that the gate is a remnant of the Inca civilization and once led to the "land of the gods." One of the local legends says that when the Spaniards arrived here in the XIV century and began to plunder the Incas, a priest named Arami managed to open the gate with a metal key and lead out the surviving villagers through them.

Door of the gods in Arizona

On the site of a small American town called Sedona, in the state of Arizona, there was once a place revered by the indigenous people as sacred. The Indians called him Navanda. It was believed that among the local red rocks, swirls could arise that could transport a person to another world; that somewhere in the mountains there is an ancient stone portal - the Door of the Gods.

According to local legends, once three seasoned gold diggers found this very door; it was an arch in the rock through which a cloudless sky could be seen. The most daring of them dared to go through the arch - and immediately disappeared without a trace; two of his comrades were so scared that they immediately left the place.
