If you watched George Lucas's movie Star Wars, then, of course, you remember what the Millennium Falcon spaceship looked like. And just recently, in mid-June, Swedish oceanologists discovered a mysterious object at the bottom of the Gulf of Bothnia. The shape of the object, as far as can be judged from the readings of the underwater radar, is very similar to the shape of the Millennium Falcon. But first things first.
To the bottom - for champagne
On June 11, a group of Swedish researchers led by oceanologist Peter Lindbergh set off for the Gulf of Bothnia. Their goal was very modest: to find at the bottom the wreckage of a shipwreck that happened here a century ago. The fact is that, according to archival documents, the sunken ship was carrying a unique sort of champagne. So why not do some underwater exploration that can be celebrated with a bottle of 100-year-old sparkling wine?
This is the first time I see this
The underwater radar images were initially disappointing to the expedition. At the place where, according to their assumptions, the sunken ship should have been, nothing similar was found. Nevertheless, at a depth of about 90 meters, a strange object lying at the bottom was visible, which was a circular formation with a diameter of 18 meters.
Despite the considerable depth, with the help of the device, it was possible to establish that the bottom near the object was lined with deep scratches. The impression was that he entered the water at high speed, and then, before stopping, still made some way along the bottom.

According to Peter Lindbergh. he does not know how to classify an unusual "round".
“I've seen a lot in my 18 years of research career. Of course, there were also mysterious finds. But this is the first time I've seen this! One of the versions put forward by my colleagues is that we discovered the underwater Stonehenge, and more than one generation of scientists will fight over its secret.
Underwater "Bimini Road"
In his interview, Mr. Lindbergh suddenly recalled a strange underwater formation called "Bimini Road". According to the oceanologist, although it is believed that “the Road is created by natural forces, nevertheless it was built by representatives of an ancient advanced civilization, perhaps even the Atlanteans.
Let us remind our readers that a semi-mystical structure was found at a depth of three to nine meters near the Bimini Islands, which are part of the Bahamas archipelago. Unlike the object discovered by Peter Lindbergh's team, Bimini Road is clearly visible from the sea surface thanks to the unusually clear water in that area of the ocean. The structure consists of two parallel tracks paved with huge stone slabs. It reaches 500 meters in length and 90 meters in width. Not less mysterious sites are located not far from the mysterious "Road". Some researchers believe: these are the ruins of Atlantis that has sunk to the bottom of the ocean. "Bimini Road" was discovered in 1968 by an American who was flying over the ocean in his own plane and, accidentally glancing overboard, noticed an underwater structure.
An elbow is close - but you won't bite
And now, 43 years later, also almost by accident, a new discovery was made. Ufologists and researchers of paranormal phenomena froze in joyful anticipation - perhaps, finally, mankind will obtain direct proof that the existence of an extraterrestrial civilization is not a myth, but a real reality. But getting this proof is not easy. Swedish treasure hunters have photographed the unknown object and posted the photo on their website. However, the matter may stop there: oceanographers do not have the technical capabilities to study UFOs at depth. And no one has yet been found willing to finance such an operation. As the saying goes, the elbow is close - but you won't bite! After all, if not a UFO is found at the bottom of the Gulf of Bothnia, but some kind of natural formation, the sponsors who have bet on the dark horse will lose …
