There are some pretty bizarre conspiracy theories or downright bizarre things that have no explanation, but I find it funny enough to dive into them a little and get your attention. There are celebrities that many of us know and love, some call them immortal creatures or time travelers, presenting them as proof of "photography". So here we take a rabbit hole journey to see famous doppelgers throughout history, or are they immortal vampires or time travelers?

A very famous example is that of Nicolas Cage, who managed to surface in an old painting from 1870 in Bristol, Tennessee. In 2011, Jack Mord from Seattle, Washington stumbled upon an original photo, which he subsequently auctioned off on eBay for a million dollars. At the same time, there were numerous assumptions that the photo was some kind of photoshop hoax, but Mord was adamant that it was indeed the original, even if it was assumed that this was proof that Cage was immortal, saying:

Personally, I believe that this is him and that he is some kind of walking undead / vampire … who speeds up / revives himself every 75 years or so. After 150 years, he could be a politician, cult leader, or talk show host.

Those who analyzed the photo concluded that while they are very similar to each other, there are subtle differences in the chin and ears that indicate that they are indeed different people. Around the same time, a photograph was taken, from 1860, allegedly of the famous actor John Travolta. The photograph was allegedly discovered by a man in Ontario, Canada. An unidentified person put the painting up for sale for $ 50,000 and, like Mord, suggested that this was evidence of some strange events saying:

I know what you are saying that John Travolta is alive today in 2018 and does not look 151 years old. John Travolta is a Scientologist, and many Scientologists believe in reincarnation. Of course, temporary travel cannot be ruled out.

Continuing with the cast, we move on to Bruce Willis, whom many may not realize, in the form of General Doug MacArthur, who was a five-star general who played an important role during World War II. Throughout his famous career, he has earned many medals, including the Medal of Honor. He also looks like Bruce Willis, who has sparked speculation that he is joining a long line of immortal celebrities.

Even earlier, in the 13th century, we have a portrait of Pope Gregory IX that bears a striking resemblance to a certain superhero actor.

Likewise, the portrait of Girolamo Francesco Maria Mazzola, which takes us back to 1570, hangs in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy, showing an individual who is strikingly similar to Keanu Reeves. Coincidence or time travel? Keanu would also later appear 300 years later in an 1875 masterpiece by Louis-Maurice Boutet de Montvel. There is also a portrait of the doctor and actor Paul Mune, who "died" in 1922 and also looks the same as Keanu Reeves. Coincidence or immortality? It fits very well with Keanu Reeves' lack of a seemingly accomplished career.

The famous actor Orlando Bloom, the star of the Lord of the Rings fantasy film series, also seems to have a way to travel in time, as it is the death knell for the Romanian painter Nicolae Grigorescu, who died in 1907. Or is he?

Other actors who seem to have tried to travel through the sands of time and / or remained immortal are Alec Baldwin as Millard Fillmore, the 13th President of the United States.

There is Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage, who appears to have been in the past Sebastian de Morra, as well as a dwarf and jester in the court of Philip IV of Spain in the 1600s.

Here's Eddie Murphy in the 1920s, as this picture of an unknown man of the time shows.

Moving on, we have Jimmy Fallon, who looks like a Turkish revolutionary and leader of the Turkish People's Liberation Front, Mahir Kayan, who died in 1972. Approved. What do you think?

And just recently, there was a very popular, viral shot of someone from the 1960s who looks wonderful like Matt Damon. The picture was originally posted by Reddit user "Coffeeandtrout", who claimed it was his parents' wedding day in 1961, and immediately made the internet wild with likeness. I have to admit that this is a rather striking similarity, but the poster says his father was much taller and certainly not the real, supposedly time-traveling Matt Damon.

It looks like Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, also played a role in the time jumping. Reddit user microwavetea posted a photo of his grandmother and it's hard not to see the similarities, so maybe Radcliffe got some real magical powers from his on-screen persona?

Speaking of grandparents, another Reddit user posted a photo of his grandfather, who also looks just like Matthew McConaughey. He seems to turn around.

Why should actors have fun with immortality and / or time travel? Some musicians seem to have jumped on the bandwagon too. Popular, best-selling rapper Jay-Z appeared in a photo from Brooklyn in 1939, allegedly taken by a man named Sid Grossman, which depicts an unknown person who could seriously be his twin. Coincidence or time travel? You decide.

There is also an old photograph that is supposedly a crime muskhot that bears a certain resemblance to singer Justin Timberlake.

It seems that late-night talk show hosts also love time travel, as we can see with Conan O'Brien and his doppelger, an Allied Civil War soldier and later Vermont Senator Marshall Harvey Twitchell.

One well-known figure outside the entertainment industry who has spawned many conspiracies about himself can now add an immortal vampire to you. None of the Russian presidents, Vladimir Putin, seems to have had time to go on a safari, and has appeared in various old guises. Two pictures came out from 1920 and 1941, respectively, which seem to show a young Putin. Photos of both Russian soldiers who bear a striking resemblance to the leader, and there has been serious talk that they are in fact him. Somehow. Time travel? Immortality? I don't know how the logistics of this stuff works.

With all the time-traveling celebrities in 2009, famed physicist Stephen Hawking decided to throw a party for them all and actually sat there waiting. The party was created as a kind of experiment and was created on June 28, 2009 complete with champagne and party decorations, and it was an open invitation to all time travelers, but he sat there alone. Hawking said, “I gave a party for the time travelers, but I didn't send out invitations just after the party. I sat there for a long time, but nobody came. The whole party was even filmed. All of this fits well with Hawking's idea that travel to the future is possible, but not to the past, which he said:

In any case, we are all traveling forward. We can move forward quickly by rocketing at high speed and returning to find everyone on Earth much older or dead. Einstein's general theory of relativity seems to offer the possibility that we can destroy spacetime for so long that we can go back in time. However, it is likely that the warping will cause a radiation explosion that will destroy the spacecraft and possibly spacetime.

There are, of course, even more cases of celebrity and time traveler immortality, and these are just choices. How do they do it? What are their methods? Are we looking at time travel, immortality, doppelgingers, or just coincidence? (hint is probably the last one). Whatever you think, there are those who take these kinds of images seriously as some kind of evidence that something strange is happening in the ranks of the rich and famous, and whether this weirdness extends to immortality and while traveling or not, all this is certainly, interesting.
