Recently, colleagues sent unusual photographs taken in Bashkiria near Lake Bannoye. The photo shows a strange petroglyph resembling a similar image of a bird on the Nazca plateau. According to the researchers, this artifact has been carved on the rock for more than a decade and can hardly be a remake.
We also managed to find earlier references to this petroglyph on the Internet: “The mountain gorge is located between the Krykty-Tau and Yamankaya ridges and is famous for its climbing walls. One of the interesting places is the Elephant Rock (Elephant, Elephant's forehead). This rock is very popular among the climbers of Magnitogorsk. Indeed, in its shape, the rocky exit resembles the head of an elephant. This can be seen especially well from the rocks on the opposite slope of the gorge. In addition to the remarkable rocks, this place has another "highlight". This is a drawing engraved on a stone slab in a rock crevice. I don’t know who knocked him out and when, experienced climbers claim that he was already here about 40 years ago. This is a drawing of a condor, almost identical to the giant drawing in the Nazca desert (Peru), which is clearly visible from an airplane."
Whether there can be a connection between the Bashkir condor and a bird on the Nazca plateau so far no one can say for sure, and hardly anyone thought about it at all. This riddle is still awaiting its solution. After all, if the image of a condor appeared on a rock in Bashkiria more than 40 years ago, at a time when information about drawings on the Nazca plateau was not yet available to Soviet citizens, then it is difficult to explain this petroglyph as a deliberate hoax. This means that this image may have more ancient roots, linking two civilizations located on different continents with as yet unexplained regularities.
