The end of the twentieth century, among other things, is characterized by the increased attention of UFO people to the Australian continent. From about August 1999 to the present, hundreds and thousands of people have observed unidentified flying objects of different shapes and sizes, at different times of the day and in different parts of Australia. But most often they were noticed at night. There is a huge amount of evidence, more from busy areas and less from remote farms.
In the area of the large port of Perth, a UFO was seen slowly flying around the perimeter of a large area, as if waiting for someone. A pair of F-18 fighters were raised from a nearby airbase with orders to try to land a UFO at a military airfield. However, all the efforts of the pilots were in vain - a huge flat "saucer" easily left them at an incredible speed and after fifteen minutes disappeared altogether in the sky, having developed from a place a speed of at least 10,000 km / h.
At the end of the year, several triangular black UFOs hovered directly over the center of the illuminated evening of Melbourne. Hundreds of thousands of people gathered in the streets and squares, who, with their heads raised, watched with horror and anxiety the brightly lit triangles that fumbled through houses, streets and people with powerful searchlights. After about 15-20 minutes, all three, as if reluctantly, rolled to the side and disappeared at lightning speed into the dark sky, placing anxiety and fear in the hearts of the inhabitants. It is curious that during the period of "hovering" of devices over the city, thousands of cars, computers, watches, consumer electronics were out of order; with the disappearance of the UFO, all instruments began to function normally. An interesting event took place in the Terra Bluga National Park. There, hundreds of people (including high police and military officials) observed a huge, no less than eighty - one hundred meters in diameter,a silvery disc, which, hovering a hundred meters above the treetops, slowly rotated, emitting a hissing noise. On the lower surface of the disk, judging by the numerous photographs taken, there was one huge window through which it was possible to distinguish the movement inside the UFO. The whistling disk flew away as soon as fighters appeared in the sky, with such speed that there was absolutely no way to pursue it. Above the place of hovering of this UFO, the radiation level was almost 10 times higher than the permissible norm.so fast that there was absolutely no way to pursue him. Several dozen times various UFOs were observed by the crews of fishing vessels. At the end of December, the fishing vessel STS-047, fishing in the Great Barrier Reef, reported to the Coast Guard about an attack by a "flying object of unknown design" and asked for help. In fact, there was no attack. After midnight, the entire ship was bathed in a bright green light falling directly from the sky. The frightened crew, jumping out onto the deck, examined the triangle illuminated along the perimeter high in the sky, from which this mysterious sheaf of light was beating. As it turned out, the watch stopped for the whole team, the radio, which was working on reception, was locked, and the attempts of the mechanics to start the diesel engine ended in nothing. After about 5-7 minutes, the lights went out, and the mysterious triangle slowly moved towards the coast. The frightened captain gave a radiogramand an hour later two rescue helicopters arrived.
On February 12, 2000, a UFO was seen taking off from under the water from the board of the Mirage motor-sailing brigade, on which the cadets were trained. Captain Stephen Insider made the following entry in the log: "… at 13.47, straight ahead, at a distance of seven cables with a terrible noise that turned into a whistle, a completely unidentifiable spherical object burst out from under the water, which, taking off to a height of a mile, suddenly with a huge speed rushed in the opposite direction and in a split second disappeared from sight."
Around the same numbers, an "underwater" UFO frightened two fishermen who were spinning sharks about a mile from the coast at a depth of about 200 meters. One, 57-year-old Patrick Mos, died in the boat from fear, another, 45-year-old Alec Yomin, recovering from the shock, managed to bring the boat and report how “a huge black the triangle, raising giant waves and foam to the very sky, its appearance was so terrible that we were numb, falling to the bottom of the boat. The eerie object, accelerating, with a whistle went up, then again dropped to a hundred meters directly above us and abruptly went towards the ocean. When I came to, I found that my partner was dead …"
