During the week, there was a fire twice in a two-room apartment located in Gorlovka in the Solnechny housing estate. The last emergency almost cost the life of a six-year-old girl who ended up in the intensive care unit
The 24-year-old owner of the apartment is raising her daughter alone; the girl attends kindergarten. According to the neighbors, sometimes noisy companies gather in the apartment, but the mother was not drunk.
“Natasha came running to me at four o'clock in the morning, barefoot and in a nightgown, asked for help, said that a fire had started, and she could not find the child,” says neighbor Yulia Yaroshenko. - When I entered the apartment, there was a lot of smoke, it was impossible to breathe. Christina was lying on the bed in the bedroom unconscious. I took her outside and called an ambulance.
“Presumably they entered the apartment through the kitchen window, and, most likely, arson was the cause of the fire,” said K. S. Kulchitsky. - The first time, on October 5, the fire was located in the upper right corner of the living room set at a height of more than one and a half meters from the floor, but then it was all right, since they coped with the fire on their own. The second time, the fire took place in the same place, and the “wall” in the hall burned out completely.
According to the hostess, this is the fifth time that something went wrong in this apartment. In the spring, she said, someone tried to get here through the window, but cans on the windowsill began to fall. The hostess turned on the light, and the intruder disappeared. The situation, when an outside presence was clearly observed in the room, repeated itself several weeks later. The owners who woke up found the TV set removed from the bedside table and on the floor, but then there were no arson. On October 5th, when the fire struck for the first time, the mother was awakened by an awakened child, who began to scream when he saw the flames engulfed the top of the living room set. On the night of October 10-11, the woman could not sleep and watched TV until three in the morning. She woke up from a strong smell of smoke. When the hostess ran out of the burning apartment, she found the door closed,leading from the hallway to the living room. The front door to the apartment turned out to be open, although, according to Natalya, she locked it at night. According to the woman, she does not even know who could climb up to her, she also cannot name people who would wish her and the child harm.
- The girl came to us at 4.30 in the morning. Before that, there was a call from the ambulance workers, who warned us that they were taking the child in a serious condition,”said S. V. OLISCHUK. - Diagnosis at admission: poisoning with combustion products of severe severity, burns of the upper respiratory tract. The child was conscious, but reacted sluggishly to external stimuli. First of all, they stabilized the condition, since at the time of admission there was a threat to life - according to the test results, the content of carboxyhemoglobin was twice the norm. That is, we can say that if she had stayed in the apartment a little longer, we would have been unable to help.
The police have not yet commented on this incident. They only said that a pre-investigation check was being carried out, and if the fact of arson was established, a criminal case would most likely be initiated.
