Scientists talked about three possible options in which the universe will fall apart and ultimately simply cease to exist. It should be noted that this can only happen in 100 billion years.
Experts from the Technical University of Lisbon (Portugal) began to study dark energy in the Universe, which will cause the death of all things. They provided the three most likely scenarios for the development of events. In the first case, another big bang will occur, equal in strength to that from which the Universe arose. The second indicates another detonation of matter, but not so global, but sufficient for the disappearance of the entire surrounding space.
The third theory says about the gravitational rupture of dark matter, which will entail complete destruction. It should be noted that most experts are inclined towards the latter hypothesis, since it is the most plausible. It's all about the constantly expanding Universe, in which gravity is unevenly distributed. As a result, the so-called rupture of matter can occur, which will lead to a gradual disintegration.
Researchers are examining in more detail all the factors that can lead to such an outcome. Despite this, the death of the Universe will happen no earlier than 100 billion years later, and therefore humanity should not worry about such a large-scale event.
