UFO flew in and broke everything
“UFOs have shown continued interest in nuclear weapons concentration sites,” Hastings said. - I personally talked with the officers of the missile bases. Believe me, hundreds of people have seen strange objects. And recorded their impact on the equipment. In five states at five bases, it was completely disabled. Bob Salas participated in one of the incidents on March 16, 1967.

Five minutes later, another call: they say, a flickering red object, very large, hovered over the gates of the base. I personally observe. Just a coincidence
Skeptics from among the scientists who were present in the studio admitted that something strange could be seen on duty. For example, hallucinations. But this has nothing to do with malfunctions in the launchers. A simple coincidence. And the equipment went out of order, most likely because there was a power failure.
The rocketeers were naturally indignant. And they reported that UFOs were seen by several dozen sober people who were on alert. And the malfunction began literally a few seconds after the object hovered in front of the gate.
As for the power supply, they explained that there were already three backup systems at the base. But they were not needed since the power was not interrupted. And even in the event of an accident at the substation, the launchers do not lose their functionality. This has never happened.
The alarm did not work

Then it became known, - Salas continued, - that on the same morning a similar red object was noticed over the neighboring launch field, 100 kilometers from us. All the launchers were disabled there. The commander told me this. He called there. The same thing happened at three more bases.
“The AFOSI (Air Force Bureau of Special Investigation) guys were handling the incident at the Malstrom base - their squad was right at our base,” Jamison said. - They interviewed eyewitnesses, us, wrote reports. But the case ended with the Air Force command ordering the investigation to be closed. And everyone who participated in it signed a non-disclosure agreement.
- The leadership of the base began to pretend, - Salas is surprised, - that nothing special happened. Common problems that have been successfully resolved. But personally, I am extremely unpleasant to realize that there is a possibility, moreover unknown to us, to disable ballistic missiles in a split second.
