According to the famous scientist, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Nikolai Kardashev, in the centers of galaxies there are not black holes, but wormholes. We could see something similar in the science fiction movie Interstellar.

Nikolai Kardashev, the head of the FIAN Astrospace Center, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said at the conference "Cosmonautics of the XXI century" that "in the centers of galaxies there are not black holes, but wormholes." These conclusions were obtained on the basis of recent studies carried out by specialists from the Russian Federation.

A wormhole is a hypothetical topological feature of space-time, which at each moment of time is a "tunnel" in space. The existence of wormholes today is just a hypothesis. There are versions that with the help of such objects one can travel to “other worlds”: in other words, we have something like a portal in front of us. Something similar, we recall, is played out in the popular science fiction film "Interstellar". There, a wormhole made it possible to conquer vast interstellar distances.

It is noted that the existence of such objects is allowed by the general theory of relativity. But at the same time, the traversable wormhole must be filled with exotic matter, which has a negative energy density. Due to this, it is possible to create a strong gravitational repulsion and prevent the burrow from collapsing. Note that the concept of a traversable intra-world wormhole provides a hypothetical opportunity to travel in time.

It should be said that even if the conclusions of Nikolai Kardashev are correct and there are indeed wormholes in the centers of galaxies, this does not mean at all that a person can use them to move in space and time.

Soviet and Russian scientist Nikolai Kardashev is known, among other things, for the creation of the so-called. the Kardashev scale, which divides hypothetical extraterrestrial civilizations into three types according to the level of energy consumption.
