In the previous article on the December 26 gamma-ray burst, we named the star Betelgeuse as the first candidate for a gamma-ray source, which is showing signs of supernova. But only if only conspiracy theorists spoke about it a week ago, now Nationalgeographic and Forbes.com are writing about Betelgeuse!
A very interesting note: of course, we have never seen the birth of a supernova, but Betelgeuse is not a supernova. Nationalgeographic writes more intelligently in this regard, quoting astronomers:
