Shaitanskoe Lake is located 4 km east of the village. Neivo-Rudyanka, Kirovgrad district, Sverdlovsk region. In plan it is lenticular. The lake is surrounded by low mountains with outcrops of granite rocks. The shores of the lake are swampy, free access to the water is preserved only at the rocky promontories protruding into the lake. There are six such capes on the lake. Protruding capes alternate with swampy lowlands, in some places the banks are peaty.
From the south, two small rivers Kedrovka flow into the lake, and from the north the river flows out. The source, which after a kilometer merges with the river. Neiva. The western and eastern shores of Lake Shaitan do not merge, since the western shore is the shore of a huge island with an area of about 20 sq. km, from the west and north of which the river flows through the peat valley. Neiva. The southern coast of the island abuts against the Svetloye peat bog, and in the east it is washed by the Shaitan Lake. It stretches 2.4 km in the meridional direction, its maximum width is about 1 km. The bottom near the western coast gradually decreases. The lake is not very deep - 1.5-2 m, its maximum depth does not exceed 4 m. The shores of the lake are covered with forest, pine grows on dry lands, boggy lowland areas are overgrown with birch forests.
16 monuments were discovered on the shores of the lake. Nine of them are located on the modern shores of the lake (within the boundaries of the residual reservoir), and the rest are in the swampy northwestern part of the lake, 1.5 km from the modern shore. All monuments located around the lake can be divided into two types: coastal lowland and rocky. Rock monuments have been recorded either on high capes made of granite blocks, or on granite shikhans (outliers) with a height of 7-11 m. There is one monument on the eastern and northern shores, and three more on the western one.
This time I decided to examine in more detail the southeastern shihan, the most prominent in the lake. In the summer I will try to get to the northwest shihans.

At the first glance at the stone piles it seems that this is the work of human hands. Inside there is a niche about a meter deep and three meters high.
Going inside, along the ledges-steps, you can climb to the "roof" of the stone hut through a half-meter hole.
At the top of the shihan are scattered flat boulders from a meter to three in diameter. Some have bowl-shaped recesses.
Having examined the southeastern shikhan, he moved on to the largest shihan - Kamenushka.
