132 years ago, near the second largest city in Venezuela, Maracaibo, on October 24, 1886, a UFO incident occurred, which, unfortunately, has not yet become the subject of serious research and which is bypassed by the media.

As a result of this incident, nine members of one family were injured, whose house came under the influence of UFO light - they received radiation poisoning and burns. Warner Coagill, then at the American consulate in Venezuela, wrote a report about the incident, which was published in the scientific journal Scientific America.

What happened during the UFO incident in Maracaibo?

In Scientific America, December 18, 1886, page 389, Warner Cowgill's account of the UFO manifestation in Maracaibo, which had taken place about two months earlier, on October 24, 1886, was printed.

The night of October 24, 1886 was windy and rainy. A family of nine was sleeping in a hut just a couple of kilometers from Maracaibo. Suddenly these people were awakened and frightened by a loud all-pervading rumble, accompanied by a bright moving light. At the same time, the interior of the hut appeared to the eyes of its inhabitants shining and painfully bright in the eyes.

The family even thought that the end of the world had come, because of which they fell to their knees and began to pray. But the prayer had to be abruptly interrupted, as everyone in the hut suddenly began to vomit intensely, and tumors began to appear on their bodies. At the same time, their faces and lips were affected by the bright light.

Radiation poisoning with consequences

The frightening bright light caused the affected family members to develop so-called radiation poisoning with extensive burns on the upper parts of their bodies, and this, years after this incident, could lead to the victims of cancer and other diseases.

The victims reported that the unpleasant light was accompanied by heat, smoke and a strange odor. The morning after the incident, the tumors began to subside, but black spots remained on the skin. At the same time, people did not feel any pain in these places.

But on the ninth day, the skin began to peel and exfoliate, the spots turned into malignant abscesses and abscesses, while all their hair fell out. All members of the affected family experienced the same radiation effects and became seriously ill.

At that time, not a single official, either in the Venezuelan government or at the local level, deigned to seriously inquire about this UFO encounter. And today, 132 years later, many details of the incident remain unexplained.

The explosion was not the reason

Not a single trace of the murderous light was found on the hut, and all nine victims unanimously declared that at the time of the incident there was no explosion, but only a terrible rumble.

The trees in the area where the hut stood looked completely intact until the ninth day, but after some time, as if on command, they dried up almost simultaneously, having experienced, like the family, the effects of radiation.

For the treatment of the dire consequences, people were taken to the Maracaibo City Hospital. Warner Coagill, who visited the victims, was deeply impressed by their condition and hoped that the consequences would not become even more fatal. Also noteworthy are his reports on the state of animals and plants after the incident.

How the fate of the members of the unfortunate family developed further and whether they were able to survive the consequences of radiation remained unknown. If a more thorough investigation was carried out on the spot, we might be able to find out what happened to these people, and it could also clarify the situation if there are documents in the archives with other details.

This can be compared to the Cash Landrum case, researchers say

What became known as the Cash Landrum Incident occurred on December 29, 1980. On that day, 51-year-old Betty Cash, her friend Vicki Landrum and the latter's grandson Colby met a UFO on a rural road near the Texas town of Huffman.

Like the family in the Maracaibo case, Betty Cash suffered severe burns and radiation poisoning. According to the descriptions of eyewitnesses, the UFO had a diamond-shaped shape, an extreme stream of heat emanated from it, and it was blinding with a sharp bright light. At times, fire emanated from the UFO, and at the same time terrible loud sounds were heard.

In addition to Betty Cash, Vicki and Colby received severe skin burns. But the worst was still Betty, who had to fight for her health for a long time after meeting with a UFO. And in December 1998, she died of an apoplectic stroke, not having lived a month before her 69th birthday. But for some unknown reason, a US official said there was no exposure in this case.
