It turns out that quite respected and reliable residents of the town of Hillsborough, surrounded by forests, located in the US state of New Hampshire, have many stories related to UFOs and aliens, but they are in no hurry to talk about it. One such case, which occurred in the middle of the summer of 1978, was shared by a local resident, who was about 10 years old at the time.
“It was at a children's summer camp. I woke up for no apparent reason in the middle of the night. The dream vanished, and I was surprised to feel vigor and at the same time instinctive fear,”the eyewitness remembered how he froze when he heard the steps and conversation of two people casting strange black shadows on the canopy of his tent.
But after listening, the boy realized that it was not people who were talking, because the sounds that reached him were definitely not human. But on the other hand, they were not the sounds of animals, because it was clearly the communication of two intelligent beings, question-answer, question-answer.
“At the time, I knew absolutely nothing about UFOs. All I could feel was a primal fear of the unknown.”After a few minutes, the frightened nine-year-old gathered all his courage and decided to climb the ladder to the top bunk above his bed, where his best friend slept.
He very slowly and quietly slipped out of his sleeping bag, carefully went up to the sleeping comrade and whispered: “John, wake up. Do you hear? The guys listened to the voices a little more, then they whispered something to each other, and the voices outside immediately fell silent.
Several wary minutes of waiting passed. The boys even thought they were talking telepathically. It took about half an hour when they felt comfortable. It seemed that the strangers in their camp had gone away, after which the children were completely overwhelmed by sleep. In the morning they told their instructor about the incident, but he began to assure them that it must have been porcupines.
“Of course, we knew that these were not porcupines, they would not have paid any attention to our whispering,” this case could have remained unanswered if a week later the main character of the story had not received a letter from his father.
It was still a time when there was no question of e-mail or cell phones, so a letter with a newspaper clipping went to summer camp for several days. The boy's father in the letter enclosed an article from the Boston Globe with the heading "One Hundred Spotted UFOs Sighted Over New Hampshire."

“It happened on the same night. Recently I tried to find this article in scanned versions of the Boston Globe, but I couldn't. It was supposed to appear in other newspapers at that time,”an eyewitness to those early events said that he had visited the Boston Public Library more than once.
There is another piece of evidence to support the story of an alien visit at night, from a local named Chris: “I have lived in Hillsboro for many years and have been observing UFOs all the time. There were especially many of them in the late 70s and early 80s. For 15 years I lived on a mountain in a house facing south and saw some strange things, lights, objects of different shapes, many of my friends saw a UFO in the form of an airship, but no one wants to talk about it out loud."
All that remains is to wait for the rest of Hillsboro's residents to muster the resolve to open up.
