In Canada, scientists and the military are bewildered by a strange phenomenon - a mysterious hum coming from the bottom of the ocean. The sounds of unknown origin scared away fish and animals, which alerted the local population.

Inuit from the village of Igloolik complained about the noise to the authorities, who said that they had heard the mysterious rumble in the summer. According to them, the noise appeared and disappeared. But most importantly, because of strange sounds, the seals began to disappear. Thus, the waters of Fox Bay became practically lifeless.

Note that scientists and the military were involved in the study of this unusual phenomenon, who at first assumed that the hum came from mining operations, but this hypothesis was not confirmed. After that, suspicion fell on Greenpeace activists who sabotage the work of geologists. However, they were also not involved in the sound.

As a result, the Canadian Department of Defense sent an aircraft to the area, but searches for the source of the noise, carried out using modern acoustic means, but the observations did not yield any results.

According to the military, they managed to find several whales and walruses. Scientists are now investigating whether whales can make these mysterious sounds.

As Professor Steve Ferguson of the University of Manitoba noted, these animals emit low-frequency sounds when they communicate with each other at a great distance, but these sounds are unlikely to scare off wild animals.

He also added that the sounds made by whales do not sound like the strange drone that hunters describe.
