The rise in global temperatures continues, with the Arctic experiencing warmer summers every year. As a result, a record small area of sea ice for this time of year loses its cooling properties and the planet begins to heat up - in some places this happens especially strongly. As many as two NASA satellites, equipped with MODIS spectroradiometers, are currently studying the fluctuations in maximum temperatures. They presented their top places, each of which is so hot that it is simply dangerous to be in some of them.
Dallol. Ethiopia
Once upon a time there was a settlement of miners who extracted minerals. Now Dallol is a ghost town, where even animals are in no hurry to wander. Volcanic activity has turned this place into a real branch of hell: the average annual temperature here reaches 35 degrees Celsius.
Coober Pedy. Australia
It is so hot here that the locals chose to move underground: 37 degrees even in the shade. The charm of the place is given by seasonal dust storms, from which even an underground shelter cannot save.

El Aziziyah. Libya
In the past few years, scientists have been unable to accurately measure the average annual temperature in Al-Azizia - for obvious reasons. Nevertheless, in the past, temperatures have shown enviable constancy, hovering around 48 degrees Celsius.
Wadi Halfa. Sudan
Located on the very border of Egypt, this Sudanese city saw temperatures as high as 49 degrees. In addition, local residents also have to fear severe sandstorms, during which thunderstorm activity increases significantly.
Tirat Tzvi. Israel
Located 400 meters below sea level in Shean Beit, Tirat Tzvi is famous for its warm weather. In June 1942, the highest temperature ever recorded in Asia was recorded here - 53 degrees Celsius.
Timbuktu. Mali
Located at the crossroads of ancient trade routes across the Sahara Desert, Timbuktu has gradually developed into one of the hottest places on the planet. Last year, the mark of 54 degrees Celsius was passed.
Ghadames. Libya
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ghadames is an oasis city located in the middle of the desert. In order to survive the constant heat (55 degrees Celsius), the local population has to spend most of the day in houses with thick adobe walls.
Kebili. Tunisia
It is believed that Kebili was founded almost 200 thousand years ago. Once upon a time, caravans arrived here in search of cool water and rest - now the temperature in Kebeli often exceeds 56 degrees.
Flemin Mountain. China
The majestic red sandstone mountain is considered the hottest spot in all of China. NASA's satellite, equipped with the MODIS meteorological system, recorded a record temperature of 66 degrees Celsius.
Wasteland. Australia
Taking continuous measurements in the Australian outback is challenging, but this sparsely populated region is renowned for its sultry character, especially during periods of drought. The Wasteland record was set last year: the NASA satellite reported measurements at 70 degrees.
