Outwardly, the Japanese prototype is still far from the robotic exoskeleton from the movie "Avatar", but the main thing is to start
Japanese engineer Hajime Sakamoto has announced his intention to create a 13-foot-tall humanoid robot, Plastic Pals reports
Exactly what tasks the android will perform is not specified, but it is known that it will be able to move independently on two legs. In the body of the robot, a cabin will be provided where a person can fit.
Sakamoto is now looking for sponsors to implement the project. To do this, he created a Facebook group dedicated to future robots. The engineer has already agreed with several companies to produce parts for the android.
The developer is not going to stop at a four-meter robot. When the project is completed, he intends to create robots 8 and 18 meters high.
Hajime Sakamoto runs the Hajime Research Institute, which has produced several dozen robots. In 2009, he introduced the android Hajime 33, which can walk, bow and play football. It can be controlled with a PlayStation controller.
