In this article I want to raise the topic of faith in God. The topic is quite complex and there are many supporters of religion, but also no less skeptics who do not believe in any mystical manifestations and miracles.
You know, lately I have been observing a massive propaganda of religious values in our country and it is difficult for me to judge the correctness of the state's position on this issue. Perhaps this is better than the propaganda of promiscuity that reigns in the world. Same-sex marriage, bedtime relationships, drugs, and all sorts of other things. Russia in this regard is not so dissolute.
However, I want to touch on the other side of faith in God, the Creator, if you will. When people are doing well in life, they may not remember God for years. When they have excellent health, a lot of money, a good family. Why should they turn to God if everything is already covered in chocolate?
But as soon as problems occur in life, then people remember about God as the last resort. Why is that? Where was “your” God before? Why didn't you go to church?
I confess that for me this is a farce of pure water. I cannot say that I truly believe in the Christian God, but there is something. Something powerful and capable of influencing the universe. But only I do not shout at every corner that you believe in my ideals. So why do people go to church when things are bad?
