I am surprised to read the news that the FSB demands from Yandex to provide encryption keys to user correspondence. For many years, no one would even think to doubt that the special services have some difficulties in obtaining information from Yandex. It may be bad, but this is how it works everywhere. How many more narrow-minded people are left who are sure that Google and Facebook are a wall without giving away the secrets of the FBI and CIA users? Even the same Durov cleverly makes himself a PR describing how he defends our chats from prying eyes. Yeah. He does not sleep at night, thinking how to put business and life behind the chats of users.
Yandex, of course, convinces us that …
… a terrible special service requires the company to provide session keys, which, in fact, give access not only, for example, to messages in mail, but also allow analyzing all traffic from users to Yandex services in the ORI registry. Imagine, all these years, the special services had no idea what was going on there in Yandex. Money, on Yandex. Disk, etc. Proud and fair Yandex stands up for our secrets and will “shoot back to the last bullet” without giving us away to the villain, even to the detriment of its business.
Actually, precisely so that at least someone thought so and this news was launched and this wave went. The rest are sure and have no doubts that in the modern world no information that gets on the Internet can remain personal, inviolable, anonymous and untouchable. I don’t know if sometime in the future some powerful Internet company will be able to withstand the strength and capabilities of the state, but watching Google, for example, which is under the close tutelage of special services, it seems that there’s nothing.
