A Facebook user found a strange creature on the beach that looked like a living green oval. The photo of the mysterious animal puzzled Facebook users, but the jokes about aliens (as always) did not turn out to be true. On October 16, Yahoo News reported about the unusual find of a Facebook user. The report says that a Queensland woman said she stumbled upon the creature on a beach in Scarborough, a suburb of Perth. The Australian woman could not identify the animal, but she can be understood, because, judging by the attached photo, it looks more like a strange green jelly-like bag. Also with dark spots (the author of the post considered them for blood).

Sea hares or aplysias are molluscs that usually live on rocky shores or in seaweed, says the site of the Australian Museum. In these animals, the shell is not outside, but inside their soft body and protects the organs.

Sea hares, like many other molluscs, discard them in case of danger. Camouflage coloring also protects them from predators. Together with poisonous mucus, which often covers the entire aplysia, this makes the animal almost invulnerable to predators, writes Australian Geographic.
But people should also be careful with bearded seals. After touching the ocean dweller, it is better not to touch your mouth and eyes and wash your skin. Moreover, these molluscs can be dangerous for dogs, which are often keenly interested in them and even try to eat them.
