“I believe that this concept has arisen recently. We used to say that these are gifted people, chosen people,”Vladyka noted. - And so they spoke about the whole people - they are the chosen people, they are gifted people. In the Old Testament there was a people chosen by God, but the Lord chose him not because all other peoples were unfit, but simply this people had special qualities - they knew how to keep traditions, knew how to unite, knew how to live together. But even this God-chosen people very often deviated from God. And as soon as he departed from God, he was immediately deprived of the grace-filled Divine gifts. But when this people again brought repentance, the Lord again showed His favor to them."
Moreover, according to the archpastor, “there was no such concept in the New Testament”. “In the New Testament, Christ the Savior says that all people are God's chosen people: we all bear the image of God in us, we are all the same. But the difference, perhaps, is only that everyone has their own capabilities. Pay attention to all of our royal dynasties. From an early age, children were surrounded by special care and guardianship; the best tutors and governesses, the best teachers, philosophers, and sages were appointed to them. And if a child is brought up from an early age in such an environment, they give him a huge amount of knowledge, of course, he matures much earlier than his peers, and his abilities develop much more. But this does not mean that he is an out of the ordinary person. He is the same as everyone else, but he just got more attention."
“As for the“indigo”, this is most likely a fiction, an attempt by some people, in my opinion, to abandon the traditional, to refuse what Christ the Savior brought us, from what He gave us the Gospel, and in the Gospel about this is not said, - emphasized the bishop. - If it really were, then, probably, our Creator told us about it, right? After all, Christ the Savior is our Creator, Creator, Savior of the world, and He would certainly have told us about this, but He does not say this, because it does not exist."
“People often believe in stupidity, because it is easy to believe, but very difficult to verify,” Vladyka Paul noted. - And then time passes, and we are told that these were myths, it was not true. But the time has been lost, and the saddest thing is that life is leaving!.. And people who today present one or another pseudoscientific idea, hypothesis, just make money on this."
“The gospel is harder to believe. Why? Yes, because the Gospel offers a way, but this way is connected with our work. We must work hard ourselves, friends, that's the point,”concluded the archpastor.
