The picture above, which depicts American billionaire Mark Zuckerberg with unusual colored eyes, reads: "The more information I collect from you, the more I understand what it means to be human." Users of the World Wide Web have long been joking that the 33-year-old founder of the world's largest social network is not one of us. However, many seriously believe that this is not a joke, but the truth.

Such an unusual conspiracy theory took a new round on April 10 and 11, when the entrepreneur gave a live testimony to the US Congress about the collection of personal information of Facebook users and its transfer to third parties. The reason for this was the leak of data of about 87 million portal users, which resulted in a major scandal. The information was illegally taken over by Cambridge Analytica, a private British firm that analyzes digital data and develops strategies for political propaganda on the Internet, including on social networks.

The hearing lasted for 10 hours, during which Zuckerberg answered questions from American lawmakers. Mark was asked about the political views of Facebook employees, about the monopoly of his company, about the site's methods of combating incitement to hatred and terrorism, about alleged Russian interference in the US elections, about the safety of underage users, about the use of artificial intelligence, and much more. As a result, the billionaire promised to carry out a number of large-scale changes in the work of the resource and expressed his approval of the idea of external regulation of modern social networks.

Many viewers who watched the interrogation of Zuckerberg by congressmen regarded the businessman's behavior as suspicious. During the hearing, Zuckerberg sat upright like an idol, did not move much, answered the senators' questions as concisely as possible, and often looked into the camera with an ominous piercing gaze. Several times he showed a cold, forced smile, which, in the opinion of conspiracy theorists, bears little resemblance to a human one. And when Mark brought a glass of water to his mouth, he seemed to lick the life-giving moisture, like a lizard, and did not drink it, like all of us. In other words, his movements seemed very strange to many.

Many commentators believed that Zuckerberg is a robot or an alien from another planet, ineptly disguising as a person. A popular conspiracy theory says that among the world's rich, high-ranking politicians, eminent scientists, as well as major cultural and religious figures, many aliens are hiding, being created by Homo Sapiens and secretly controlling humanity. Maybe Zuckerberg is one of them? No wonder "Facebook" is called a unique tool for collecting and analyzing information about earthlings. The saddest thing is that users voluntarily and knowingly provide their personal data to this resource.
