The Azores Islands are found even further north. They are of volcanic origin. But a certain platform of the mid-ocean ridge, on which they are located, is also a contender for the sunken Atlantis.
Many put it in this place. Together with the flat underwater island, it was a mini-continent of volcanic origin. And it was above water due to less water in the ocean or before the next catastrophic expansion of the Earth. Then this platform sank to the bottom and the sea level increased.
Fluctuations in sea level are confirmed by geology. Only there everything is measured in millions of years. And one can disagree with this.
By the way, traces of a developed civilization have been found on the Azores. Namely, their aqueducts. But historians attribute this to the Roman Empire.
