… In 1950, Captain S. Moreno, in command of the Argentine naval ship, wrote the following report:

“At 16 h 10 min on March 24 this year. The crew of our ship saw an object in the sky over Disception Island in Antarctica, which was neither an airplane, nor a satellite, nor a meteorological balloon, nor any of the known aircraft."

In June and July 1950, a series of UFO sightings in the Antarctic sky followed by Chilean and Argentine weather stations. The Brazilian newspaper O'Estado reported in July 1950 what one of these UFOs looked like:

"… The object had a cigar-like shape, its surface shimmered from red to green. The car flew in zigzags in a westerly direction, changing course and speed several times. The object remained motionless for about 20 minutes at an altitude of 5000 meters. It moved in complete silence." …

In September 1950, Commander A. Orrego of the Chilean Navy photographed a very large flying cigar-shaped object maneuvering in the sky of Chilean Antarctica.

On February 19, 1956, a group of Chilean biologists flew by helicopter to Robertson Island in the Wendell Sea to study its flora and fauna. The weather was stormy. At 9.10 am the radio stopped working. Suddenly, very close to the helicopter, two vertical cigar-shaped objects appeared. They glittered in the sun. After 15 minutes, one of the objects suddenly changed its position to horizontal and flew westward. At the same time, he lost his metallic luster and began to shimmer with all colors from dark red to purple. The second object was doing dizzying maneuvers: it moved in zigzags, stopped abruptly, instantly accelerated, and all this was completely silent. This "demonstration" lasted about five minutes. The object then changed its color and disappeared instantly.

The researchers in the helicopter had two Geiger counters. They showed that the radioactivity at the time of the appearance of the UFO increased 40 times.

Five years later, the Brazilian meteorologist R. Villena, who took part in the American Antarctic expedition, also witnessed the appearance of a UFO. Villena was on board an icebreaker in the King George Islands area. Suddenly, a strange beam of light crossed the sky. "Rocket!" one of the crew shouted. "No, it's a meteor," replied another. Villena wrote in his diary:

Promotional video:

“The shape and color of the object, the flashes of light it produced, all seemed very unusual. There is no such technique on our planet."

Another member of the expedition describes the UFO as follows:

“The object was multicolored and oval in shape. He left a long red-orange trail behind him. Suddenly it fell apart in two, as if it had exploded. Each part glowed white, blue, and red, throwing out beams above them in the form of a letter. In the end, both parts went down very low and, moving almost above the ice, instantly disappeared beyond the horizon."

The US Navy officially recorded this incident as the appearance of "a meteor or some other luminous object."

The Space Review, a monthly ufological journal in Connecticut, published an article on October 13, 1963, which, in part, stated:

“At the very end of World War II, when Germany was already defeated, a group of German scientists and military personnel fled and fled. settled in Antarctica, where she began to develop aircraft based on advanced technologies.

It is interesting to note that the Allies were missing 250,000; Germans, even taking into account the killed. What if some of the missing were aviation scientists? This assumption is confirmed by the fact that on the very eve of the war the Germans invaded Antarctica, declaring it part of the Third Reich."

… German submarines often appeared in the South Atlantic. In 1942, Captain Gerlach explored the Gogue Archipelago as a possible base for radar and a prison camp. On April 4, 1944, an English submarine sank the German submarine U-859. 47 crew members died, but 20 survived. After 30 years, one of the survivors said that there was a secret cargo of mercury on the boat. It is known that mercury is used for the production of certain types of fuel. Some light on the interest of the Germans in Antarctica is shed by the statement of the commander of the German submarine fleet K. Doenitz that "the German submarine fleet has been rebuilt in another part of the world in an impregnable fortress."

On July 10, 1945, the German submarine U-530 surrendered to the Argentine authorities. The background to this event is mysterious. U-530 went to sea on May 22, 1944. Where she was between these dates is unknown. Submarine U-977 left Christian Send on May 2, 1945 and sailed to the South Atlantic. The boat surrendered to the US Navy on 13 November. There is no information about her actions during this period.

… There is another mysterious fact. The Allies found that during the war, 54 German submarines had disappeared, of which only 11 could run into mines.

In 1968, the United States organized an Antarctic expedition called the Big Leap. Its official goal was geographic, meteorological and other research. But military helicopters, planes, aircraft carriers took part in the operation … No reports on the results of the expedition were leaked to the press. From this we can conclude that the "Big Leap" was carrying out some kind of secret mission, perhaps looking for a German military base.

20 years later, one of the participants in the Big Leap gave an interview to the Sunday Times newspaper. He said that during the expedition, the pilots discovered a small area not covered with ice on the Antarctic coast. There were many lakes and sparse vegetation. The water in the lakes was warm. Later it turned out that one of the lakes was connected by a sleeve with the open sea. It was the perfect place to hide submarines.

So, the question remains open. Could the Germans have established their secret base in Antarctica? Is it possible that their scientists and engineers have created superplanes there, flying at prohibitive speeds from pole to pole?

Perhaps the descendants of the Germans who escaped surrender still cherish the idea of conquering the world and establishing the Third Reich?
