It is designed in such a way that when it rains, water accumulates at the bottom and remains for a long time. You can get down by the steps that go down to the water itself, moving from level to level. In total, this inverted pyramid has 13 levels leading down, each of which consists of 7 steps. Moreover, the total number of steps exceeds 3 thousand, and the entire depth of the well exceeds 3 tens of meters,of which about 10 is water.
If you approach the cyclopean structure from the side, it will not seem so monumental - you can see only the walls and buildings surrounding it, which are not of particular interest. But, if you get inside, then a stunning view opens up.
The structure was erected specifically to supply residents of nearby areas with drinking water throughout the year. The well played an important role in the life of people, since this area is distinguished by a very arid climate and uneven precipitation; it rains only 2-3 months a year.

You can enter there only after bathing in the water of the well. It is the fact that a large number of pilgrims bathed in it for a long time that caused the pollution of the water.
