A 55-year-old man from Hungary named Laszlo Andrashek went all the way from a vagabond to a millionaire in one night. He bought a lottery ticket with his last money, hoping that he would be a little lucky, but of course he did not expect to win the jackpot.
Adrashek worked as a repairman of agricultural machines and spent all the money he earned on drinks - in other words, Andrashek was an alcoholic. He lived the typical life of an alcoholic and thought everything was fine.
In the end, his brothers and sisters decided that they were fed up with all this, and asked their mother to drive their younger brother out of the house - so Andrashek ended up on the street, it happened in 1989. He even tried to hang himself, but the rope broke, and Andrashek eventually lost his leg. But even that did not stop him: he continued to blame everyone except himself for what was happening. In 1991, he registered as homeless.
In 1995, he could not even come home for Mother's Day, he was so drunk, although he had never missed this holiday before. By the end of the month, he signed up for treatment for alcoholism - so his life is very slowly, but began to improve.
In 1999, he met his future bride Aniko - they were introduced by a social worker. It took Andrashek ten years to recover from alcoholism. During this time, the couple got married, but barely made ends meet.
The night that Andrashek bought the ticket, he walked to the alcohol treatment center in Budapest. He guessed six numbers on the ticket, and the saleswoman reminded him to pick the seventh. He chose 24, thinking it didn't matter, and the number was the winning one. This number, chosen at random, changed his whole life.

He bought a house and is planning a trip to Italy. But he decided that he would not let money change him too much - he became rich, but did not become a different person.
