Stone from Brazil, on which a map of the starry sky was depicted 6,000 years ago
A massive stone with ancient images was found in the Brazilian municipality of Inga, Paraiba state. According to scientists, numerous symbols were carved on it about 6,000 years ago.
Among the drawings, most of all are images of people, animals, birds and plants, which is not surprising for the creativity of representatives of ancient civilizations. However, among them there is a fairly accurate map of the Milky Way and, separately, the constellation Orion.
The stone is 46 meters long and 3.8 meters high. It is over 170 square meters. Why it was necessary to fill the entire area with images, and why the main attention was paid to the image of the constellation Orion, is a big mystery, archaeologists say. Perhaps this is due to the religion of the ancient tribes. If this is not the case, it remains to assume that 6 thousand years ago, the inhabitants of South America communicated with alien beings who passed on astronomical knowledge to them.
However, such an assumption is already from the field of ufology, and not from official science. One thing is clear: ancient people were interested in astronomy, and their knowledge in this area was not at all primitive.
