Aragats - the highest mountain range in the territory of Armenia - is known among climbers and ufologists as the place of incredible events associated with the appearance of UFOs and aliens

According to the recollections of Sergei Khachatryan, a 55-year-old resident of the city of Pomri, the first anomalous incident in those places occurred on July 1, 1985. Five climbers, including Khachatryan, hiked along the slopes of Aragats.

Having made a halt in the saddle between the South (3789 m) and Western (4080 m) peaks, they noticed on the slope, about 300 meters away, two very tall people, dressed in bright yellow, as if inflated, overalls. The climbers began waving their hands to strangers and shouting inviting them to breakfast. The notes remained motionless. Then the climbers began to examine the figures through binoculars. They saw creatures that only vaguely resembled people. The "yellow" ones were exactly the same: 3-4 meters tall, densely built, with round heads; the faces of both were "smeared" - as if covered with a translucent plastic wrap. The climbers realized that these were not people. But who then? Aliens? Suddenly the climbers felt that the yellows were also watching them. In a panic, they quickly packed up the tents and,as if carrying out someone's order to immediately leave the scene, without turning around, they hurried down the mountain back to the base.

Nobody believed the climbers

The second mysterious event, which Sergey Khachatryan told about, happened at the end of June 1986. Ten people climbed Aragats, but only two witnessed the event. They walked separately from the group along the foot of the western slope of the South Summit to the same saddle where Khachatryan and four climbers stopped a year ago. The two were to pitch their tents and cook dinner while the main group climbed and descended to the South Summit. However, returning after the ascent, the climbers did not find in the agreed place not only tents, but even the traces of their comrades. Only after some time did the climbers notice their missing comrades on a steep slope in the distance. When the group reunited, they said they saw a flying saucer landing at the Western Summit. It was a silvery lenticular object. Then no one believed the guys, and six years later it turned out that they were telling the truth. Once Sergei Khachatryan talked with his acquaintance - the head of the regional KGB, and he asked: "Do you know that in July 1986 a UFO landed at the Western summit of Aragats?" This information came from the commander of a high-altitude radar station located several kilometers from the summit. The station staff reached the landing site a day later, but the object was no longer there. But there were traces left by him. Moreover, the soil was not burnt, but only sagged by 5-10 centimeters.that in July 1986 a UFO made a landing at the Western Summit of Aragats? "Cigar"

And here is the story of a Kiev resident Vladimir Mishakov, which happened to him and his comrades in the Aragats region during army service in the air defense. One July night in 1975, Mishakov, V. Kud, V. Kamyslov and three other colleagues entered the outfit. At one o'clock in the morning, patrolling the territory of the unit, they noticed something strange: right in front of them, over the mountain range, hung a huge "cigar" (at least 500-600 meters), shimmering with lead, orange and yellow colors. The outline of the "cigar" was yellow. She hung motionless in the air for five minutes, and then began to rise sharply upward. The ascent was accompanied by three claps (the second was deafening, and the third was barely audible). The "cigar" disappeared from sight in 30 seconds.

Mishakov and his comrades told the soldiers who came to replace them about what they had seen, and they, in turn, reported that for twenty minutes there was no communication in the unit, and it appeared only recently.

About an hour later V. Mishakov and V. Kud left the barracks to see if the "cigar" had returned. In the space where the UFO recently hung, a pale blue haze flickered, shaped like a pillar going up.

And in the black sky, they saw a bright blue spiral (the distance from it to the ground, apparently, was huge). The number of spiral turns increased. The impression was that someone took a brush and drew new turns in the sky with it. At the eleventh or twelfth orbit, the invisible artist stopped “painting”, and the back loops gradually disappeared. Soon, a huge pale blue cloud formed in place of the spiral. No one could give an explanation for this phenomenon.

Reddish glow

Folk legend says that Saint Grigor Lusavorich (the Illuminator) ascended to the top of the mountain for prayer, while at night a lamp was shining for him, hanging directly from heaven. Legend claims that even now this lamp shines at night, but only the initiated can see it.

During the development of Mount Aragats by physicists (at an altitude of 3200 m there is a scientific station - a branch of the Yerevan Physics Institute), and in Soviet times - by the military, many people saw a reddish glow emanating from the crater of an extinct volcano, which is located between the four peaks of the mountain range. It is difficult to associate this phenomenon with the experiments of scientists or the activities of the military, since physicists are engaged in the registration of high-energy particles of cosmic radiation in a quiet, so to speak, mode, and the radar was located at a distance of 6-7 kilometers from the crater.

Stream flowing up

The territory of Armenia is one of the most earthquake-prone zones in the world, with many faults in the earth's crust. Geoactive areas are found there everywhere, and in such places, as you know, various anomalous manifestations are recorded due to the lithospheric-atmospheric interaction.

In June 1988, Sergey Khachatryan encountered another anomaly, which took place in the area of Lake Karelia (at an altitude of 3220 m above sea level), near the Aragats mountain range. Together with Sergei there were three members of the mountaineering and mountain tourism section of the sports club of the Leninakan Pedagogical Institute. A stream gurgled at the foot of the South Summit. Khachatryan scooped up water with a mug, began to drink and immediately felt dizzy and weak. What's the matter? All the other climbers who drank this water immediately felt unwell.

The climbers followed the path of the stream. It turned out that melt water filled a depression nearby and flowed from it to the lake, which was … above the stream. Thus, it flowed up! The difference in elevation on a six-meter section of the stream was at least 0.5 meters - this was confirmed by measurements using instruments brought from a nearby weather station.

In a conversation with the author of these lines, Sergey Khachatryan said: “I would rather believe that the 1985“yellow giants”at the South Summit were aliens than that water can flow upwards! And I also cannot explain the fact that melt water in the process of drinking almost knocked the trained athletes off their feet, because I cannot imagine what harmful substances could be contained in it, which were absorbed into the blood instantly. This is all very strange. After all, the snow and water on Aragats have always been crystal clear."
