The author of the book "Titanic: The Ship That Never Sinked" Robin Gardiner believes that in fact the sunken ship is not the Titanic at all, but the Olympic.

The infamous cruise ship Titanic, which crashed in the North Atlantic on the morning of April 15, 1912, could have been replaced just before sailing.

The author of the book "Titanic: The Ship That Never Sinked" Robin Gardiner believes that in fact the sunken ship is not the Titanic at all, but the Olympic - another twin ship besides the Britannic.

In his opinion, the Olympic was damaged back in 1911 when it was rammed by the British armored cruiser Hawk while the Titanic and Olympic were sailing in parallel.

However, according to Gardiner, Olympic was blamed for the collision. White Stars insurers refused to pay monetary compensation for damage. At that time, the liner made only four trips, and if he really was to blame for the incident, the company would have suffered huge losses.

Thus, Robin claims that the company traded the damaged Olympic for a new Titanic, which was soon to sail to New York. The company decided to get rid of insurance payments and prove that the allegedly "rammed" ship is not actually damaged. The undamaged Titanic and the claim for compensation from Hawk's company were presented as evidence.

However, blogger Myles Seal debunked the idea on his YouTube channel, noting that the ships had differences in design and windows that could be seen. According to him, it would take time to bring the "Titanic" to one hundred percent similarity with the "Olympic".

According to Seal, a propeller belonging to the Titanic was discovered at the crash site, Dailystar reports.

In addition, netizens were skeptical about the writer's suggestion, noting that it could be "a double bluff, the book and documentary were created to discredit and hide the truth."
