This happened to me in 1994 when I was resting in my village (Voronezh region) spending my summer vacation. I am a big lover of fishing and often when the weather is fine, I go fishing in our pond. The pond is quite large and is famous for the abundance of various fish.
That day, as usual, I woke up at 3.15 in the morning, had a little snack, drank tea, and took the tackle, went to the pond. It was August and it was quite dark outside at that time. At 4.00 I was already there and began to unwind the fishing rods. It should be noted that the sky was clear, fog spread over the ground. There was no one on the pond, although often there are already a couple of people before my arrival.
Casting my fishing rods down, I sat down on my folding chair, waiting for a bite. Suddenly my attention was drawn to the fog to my left. It somehow glowed unusually. At first I thought that someone had arrived in a car and somehow the headlights make such an unusual effect. But he immediately dismissed this thought when he realized that there were dense thickets of reeds in that direction and no car could drive up there.
I got up and walked slowly in that direction. Approaching the thickets of reeds, I began to notice that the fog seemed to thicken. I felt a bit uncomfortable and at the same time I was more and more curious. I went into the reeds and realized that I would not go further because there was a lot of mud and the thickets were thick.
I turned around and saw that the fog had become so dense that I could not see anything within a meter. Fear seized me, I ran forward. But for some reason my movements became very slow, as if the muscles were shackled by some kind of weakness, I stopped and fell to my knees. My heart was beating furiously from the inexplicable horror that seized me.
Then I noticed that the fog around me was glowing with a bright bluish light. The next second, I felt a sharp pain and burning sensation in the back of the head. I fell on my back, my body practically did not obey me. With great difficulty, I turned my head and saw a meter away from me an incomprehensible figure of short stature. Only the outlines were visible, since the fog was very thick. I tried to get up, but the body was completely exhausted, and I could only move a little.
The next moment, a bright flash arose over me and I felt how hot air was poured over me and my burning clothes smelled, my eyes were watering and I could not see anything, suddenly I felt that my body was slowly rising up from the ground, I began to scream, but I did not hear my voice … Then I passed out.
I woke up because the sun was shining in my eyes. I lay there and listened to my feelings. Slowly raising my head, I saw that I was lying on the shore of that very pond. It was about noon. My fishing rods were lying around. I looked at my watch, it froze at 4.36. by the way, they could not be repaired later. There was a slight pain in the body. I slowly rose to my feet, my head spinning. With difficulty reaching home, I went to bed.
