In the Indian city of Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a newborn child was rescued, buried by his parents alive at the request of a cleric. This is reported by the Daily Mail.
A tantric priest convinced the parents of a 20-day-old girl that she was possessed by evil spirits. He claimed that her presence in the house would ruin their lives. After that, they decided to bury their daughter. The mother's sister took the girl to the pond and buried her.
A few hours later, when the air temperature dropped to three degrees, a passerby heard the crying of children. He quickly found its source and dug up the freezing child. “Such cruelty. I can't imagine how it was possible to throw a child into such a cold,”says the passer-by who found her.
The girl is in a hospital in a stable condition. The clergyman, father, mother's sister and her husband were arrested. The mother managed to escape, they are looking for her.
In 2015, it was reported that a 16-year-old Honduran resident stopped showing signs of life when a local priest tried to exorcise evil spirits from her. A day after the funeral, the girl woke up, but died while they tried to extract her from the grave.
