Hello everyone, today I came across an interesting artifact, information about which I decided to share with you.

The only photograph describing the artifact was posted on the website of a UK auction around 2016-2017.

According to the seller, the vase was made in ancient Assyria in the 8th century BC or about 2,900 years ago. It is made from amethyst, which is one of the most valuable varieties of quartz.

The vase is unique in several aspects.

If you look closely at the photo, you can notice its graceful processing, not to mention the 2 holes on the sides. In our time, the creation of such products does not cause problems, but how realistic was it to make such a vase 3000 years ago?

By the way, look at what efforts are required to process amethyst now.

It remains only to assume that this artifact was made by an experienced craftsman using processing methods unknown to us.

The second mystery of the artifact is its shape. It resembles an egg, but the artifact stays firmly on the surface. You try to place the egg so that it holds firmly.

Out of curiosity, I just tried it and it didn't work.

But how, then, did you manage to achieve such balance and stability in the vase? This remains a big question that makes the artifact unique.

At the moment, we can only praise the ancient master, because he made real masterpieces for his time.
