This anomalous place is located in the Volga-Akhtubinskaya floodplain in the Volgograd region, in flooded areas near the village of Karshevitoe. Its special properties are manifested during powerful thunderstorms, which are not uncommon in these parts.

There are few witnesses to extraordinary phenomena, but what they describe cannot be squeezed into the framework of a common explanation. It seems that here is an anomaly of the Earth's space-time continuum. In other words, the transition of a given place from one point (moment) of time to another, located at a significant "distance" from the first, occurs in a jump, that is, bypassing intermediate time regions.

Let us illustrate this with the example of the speed of movement of thunderclouds, described by eyewitnesses. It is known from the science of mechanics that speed is the quotient of dividing the distance traveled by the time it passes. If the distance is finite and time is close to zero, then the speed is very high.

The leap of time, which was mentioned above, is "almost zero time". Consequently, objects (physical) trapped in the temporary anomalous zone can move at a very high speed, uncharacteristic for their movement under normal conditions.

It was this phenomenon that Volgograd electronics engineer Vladimir Gushchin observed in 2000 in the Karshevitsky loan. For greater persuasiveness, let us partially quote his story about his impressions:

“To find out how far away the lightning has struck, I usually count. Here is a new flash, which, with its blinding light, pierces the tarp of the tent, and I begin to count how many seconds it takes before the thunderclap. It is known that the speed of sound is 300 m / s. After the next flash, 13 s passed before the impact.

Well, I think it's still far away: about 4 km away. But the flashes of lightning are becoming more frequent, and the "bombardment" is intensifying. I could not resist and left the tent. Lightning struck both in front and from the side, and here and there. The flashes are both zigzag and straight, like pillars. As soon as I returned to the tent and lay down, there was a roar - already 2 seconds after the outbreak.

That is, it struck somewhere very close, no further than 500-600 m. I prepared to count further. Another piercing flash, and it flashed through my head: "One … Now there will be a blow."

It was 12 o'clock in the morning from Saturday to Sunday.

And then something fantastic happened - an instant "leap" into the future through a "time distance" of several hours:

“Suddenly… morning has come. Instantly! As if we hadn't slept at all. Everything shines around, the sun shines. And this is not early morning, but, probably, already the 9th hour of the next Sunday. The sun is already high, warm, the birds are singing. It smells like rain. EVERYONE IN THE TENT started at once.

I begin to remember what I just experienced and ask: "Friends, do you remember how we fell asleep?" But nobody remembers this. They remember very well another thing: all of us - 5 people with my daughter - lay covered with blankets, chasing fear away by talking.

Everyone remembers how I thought and, it turns out, I managed to say aloud: “One”. And that's all. Without any transition, the morning of the next day arose. And what is characteristic: no one has a memory of the dream itself. Imagine: you are now sitting, closed your eyes, and then opened - and the very next day …

In the situation that we had, no one could sleep. And in order for all five to disconnect at once, here, excuse me, you need some powerful influence from the outside. Moreover, when I came out of the tent, I noticed an interesting phenomenon: the nodes of the plants, from where the stems shoot arrows, were covered with some kind of ash, like coal dust. As if something had burnt out. This phenomenon was observed approximately within a radius of 500 m."

V. Gushchin told this story to his friend, the fisherman Anatoly Mikhailovsky, who, impressed by what he had heard, decided to go fishing in the place indicated by Gushchin. He got there too on Saturday evening and, as ordered, a monstrous thunderstorm broke out with dazzling gigantic lightning:

“The pillars were approaching the left bank and the grove where my lonely tent stood. A thought pierced my head: "Well, now." And after that, without any transition, I suddenly discovered that I was standing by the tent, the sun was hot, and in the nearest forest lake the fish were flapping their tail in the water …

After a successful fishing trip, a local resident clucked his tongue: “The place here is special. Not a bite anywhere. And after a thunderstorm, real sodom always begins. Well, with Sunday you catch."

He said, "Happy Sunday." Therefore, time again played an unsolved joke in these places. And the dragging tails of the pikes were shaking off the powder of glittering ash from the abundantly growing mother-and-stepmother.
