This huge, unique Vietnamese cave was discovered recently - in 1991. Indeed, there is an underground river in it. The cave is truly gigantic in size: its height is about 150 meters, its length is 90 kilometers. This natural landmark consists of 150 rooms, many of which have not yet been explored.

This natural landmark, formed several million years ago, is located on the border of Vietnam and Laos, in the local Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in Quang Binh province. To get to it, you will have to overcome a considerable path - for more than a day to walk through the impenetrable jungle.

The cave was found by a local resident and reported his find to his fellow villagers. They were afraid to enter there because of the terrible roar of the water and the frightening force of the wind in the pitch darkness of the labyrinths. Because of the incurious and fearful inhabitants, the cave was almost unknown to anyone for many years. And only 18 years later, this cave, which with full confidence can be called the underworld, was explored by English speleologists.

In 2010, the expedition prepared for the obstacle continued its study, having spent two weeks in the intricate grottoes. Experts familiar with a huge number of caves noted the uniqueness of the Vietnamese miracle. The detailed information compiled by the team leader shocked the entire speleological world. According to him, modern skyscrapers could fit in the halls of the giant. However, not only the gigantic size amazed scientists: deep abysses and unusual stone columns of amazing beauty are hidden in the underground. Inside the natural miracle, the river is rustling, for a long time it has created marvelous tunnels of various shapes in the rocks, and in some places it comes to the surface. Seongdong Cave is a unique place where you can observe the formation of clouds underground after mixing air masses of different temperatures. The cave has its own climate!

Through the formed soil dips, not only sunlight gets into the cave, but also plants and animals. To the usual cave dwellers - snakes, insects, rodents - hornbills and small monkeys, which feel at home in the thickets, have been added. In some places the ledges are completely covered with emerald grass, and a piece of the real jungle will make you stop to believe in the reality of what is happening. Cavers named this green oasis of the cave "Garden of Eden", in which some of the flora that got inside millions of years ago were unknown to science.

This cave in Vietnam became famous for a unique find - unusual pearls belonging to very rare natural phenomena. The thing is that the dripping water for a long time created layers of calcite, which seemed to envelop every pebble. Comparing the find found in the cave with the pearl produced by mollusks, the researchers found that the composition of the mineral is identical.

Not far from the giant dungeon is the village of Ban Dong with friendly residents, whose number does not exceed forty people. The population, completely isolated from all the benefits of the outside world, grows crops and leads a lifestyle that has not changed for several hundred years.
