The world's only bottle-nosed pink dolphin found in Louisiana in Lake Kalkasyu. The unusual animal was captured by the boat's captain Eric Ryu. The sailor, who managed to see the animal very close, notes that the dolphin has a reddish tint of eyes and an unusual stunningly pink skin color, but he is quite socialized and swims in a flock of four other dolphins, as well as accompanied by his mother, who does not leave him for a step.
“I noticed a flock of dolphins,” Ryu says. - And that one of them is a little lighter than his comrades. To be honest, it's stunning pink. I've never seen anything like it. His whole body is this color, it looks like he was just painted. Skin tone is smooth, glossy, pink and flawless."
According to biologists, this glamorous dolphin is a typical albino. True, albinism is a genetic trait and it is not clear how animals inherited it.
Renata Esmitis-Sylvia, senior biologist at the Society for the Protection of Whales and Dolphins, believes that the pink dolphin is "really handsome." “I have never seen a dolphin of this color in my entire career,” says the specialist. “Although this dolphin looks pink, he is albino, as you can tell by his pink eyes. Albinism is a genetic trait, but how this animal inherited it is not clear.
Of course, in the blink of an eye, the glamorous dolphin became a local attraction. As a result, it attracted so much attention that the US environmental authorities asked tourists to leave the animal alone.
