The Nebraska State Police received an unusual call the other day with a message about Bigfoot surveillance. The woman saw the furry creature in the evening off Highway 80 near North Platte. This was reported on November 27 by the Nebraska news site The Grand Island Independent.
Harriett McFeely and her friend Robin Robins were returning from Omaha last Saturday. McFeely asked to drop her off when they drove up to the town of Hastings. Then Robins drove alone, but soon Robins called McFeely and said in an excited voice that she had just seen a Bigfoot when she drove up to the neighboring town of North Platte.
“She said,“I just saw a bigfoot. He was standing right here on the side of the road,”says Harriett McFeely.
Robins saw Bigfoot when she passed sign 197 around 9 p.m. She told her friend that the creature was huge, stocky and seemed very heavy. Bigfoot stood by the road outside the deer fence and Roberts saw him very close from about 20 feet (6 meters) as she drove by. The bigfoot she saw was at least 8 feet (2.4 meters) high.
“She saw him very clearly. It was at a time when there were no other cars on the road besides her.
Immediately after her friend called, McFeely called the local police.
“I asked them if this was an official Bigfoot sighting and they said it definitely does.
Not far from where the woman saw the bigfoot is the Platte River, and McFeely says the bigfoot may have traveled along the river. She believes in the existence of Bigfoots and although she has not seen them herself, she has friends who have observed these creatures in the places of Grand Island, Bellevue, Lincoln and Macy.
