Ivanovets Sergei KHOMUTOV told the journalist of the city newspaper "Chronometer" that in the town of Avdotino in Ivanovo there is an old house, the inhabitants of which have repeatedly witnessed mysterious phenomena.
A young 25-year-old Ivanovo citizen Sergey has repeatedly moved from one apartment to another.
- I lived in various districts of the regional center, everywhere it is somehow dirty. But Avdotino is another matter: there is fresh air, beautiful, - said Sergey on the way to his destination.
The young man had to live an independent life early on: the native Ivanovo resident did not want to sit on his parents' neck, Sergei received a technical education, found a job.
- I don't really believe in any kind of mysticism. More than once I was convinced that much of what people consider supernatural can be easily explained by digging deeper into the essence of phenomena, says Sergey. - But since we started talking about horror stories … Everything in my life was turned upside down by chance - in 2007 I rented a room for almost two years in a house in Avdotino. This house is located next to the cemetery. So, inexplicable things happened there from time to time.
According to Sergei, a few weeks after settling in, it became the norm when dishes rattled in the closet at night. Footsteps were sometimes heard in the kitchen at home. The master's cat who lived in the house often looked at one point with bulging eyes.
- Sometimes the doorbell rang by itself, the door creaked. You go out onto the porch - and there is no one there. This happened, oddly enough, mostly during the day, - Sergey told me.
Passing the garage complex, we came to the crossroads of streets, where a mysterious house is located to this day. The one-storey residential building with a beautiful garden near the rocky path to the entrance looks quite peaceful. New owners are currently living in the house, so for ethical reasons we do not publish the full photo of the building. We also failed to get inside the dwelling - the gate was locked, and the owners did not answer the calls.

Walking around the house, Sergei recalled more and more details of his stay here.
- Life was normal in the house - you get used to everything, - Sergey explained to me. - The steps that were heard in the middle of the night in the kitchen, in the corridor, I attributed to my own fatigue (then I worked several jobs), to restless neighbors. I'm used to it, in a word.
THE ANIMALS HERE BAD HERE
Usually such houses are guarded by dogs. Sheepdog snarling outside the gate is a common sight in the private sector. But here we did not find even a hint of a dog's presence.
- Those who rented part of the house at the same time as I had a Caucasian Shepherd puppy. But then he fled in an unknown direction. In general, the animals got along badly here: I had a parrot (a birthday present from my beloved) - I found it dead in a cage, almost as soon as I moved here. Then I did not associate this fact with the peculiarities of the house: if there was mysticism, it was rare, episodic, and intractable ailments are often found in domestic birds. But now, after a while, I understand that this event may have some connection with my move to the house, - said Sergey.
- Also, the owner's cat (which was later taken from this house) all the time tried to climb higher and looked at one point, bulging his eyes, hissing in the middle of the night. The owner later told me that in the new place where they moved, the cat became much calmer, - added Sergey.
AT NIGHT I SAW THE SILHOUETTE OF AN OLDER MAN
Sergei cannot forget the only case.
- The most incredible thing happened once, I remembered it all my life. I wake up at night because the bed creaked and someone sits on it (I have always had a very sensitive dream, I wake up from any rustle). I thought it seemed. You know, this sometimes happens to everyone in a dream: then you feel that you have fallen sharply and wake up, then it seems that on the contrary - you are soaring. This happens when adrenaline is urgently released into the blood, if during falling asleep the heart somehow does not behave so, - Sergey told me. - So I reacted calmly to my feelings. But after a while I realized that the one who allegedly sat on my bed does not move. I open my eyes - I see the silhouette of an elderly man. I was already speechless. I froze. I blink my eyes, I think, well, everything, I lived - glitches.
Sergei wanted to get out of bed, but could not move. He seemed to be chained to the bed.
- I managed to see how the man began to slowly leave. The room was dark. He disappeared into the twilight. I haven't seen anything like that since then. Many years have passed, it is still scary to remember. What was it? I prefer not to look for any explanation for this, - added Sergey with a crooked smile.
When asked if his neighbors shared similar visions with him, Sergei shook his head.
- Only once a girl came to visit her neighbors, so she started hysterical. She claimed that in the corridor, where we had a large basin against the wall, she saw the silhouette of a man, as if standing up to his waist in water, - Sergey explained to me. - Yes, everyone saw something, but the rent was low, and the area was not bad. So we lived and were silent.
"IN LOCAL HOUSES SOMETIMES" SPIRITS "WALK"
The cemetery, which Sergey told me about at the very beginning, was not so easy to find. Several years ago, a multi-storey residential complex began to be erected near the mysterious house.
- Look: if you look from the river, there will be summer cottages on the left, garages straight ahead, and a cemetery begins behind them. Whether they bury it or not, I don't know. Not a cemetery walker. A neighbor's grandmother, who lived three houses from ours, said that sometimes "spirits" walk around the local houses - they say that people do not remember the dead, who were buried long ago. And a local witch got into the habit of walking to the cemetery. This is how souls ask for help, said a local resident, - Sergey told me.
Soon after meeting the shadow of the man, Sergei moved to another home.
- I found a housing option closer to the place of work, that's all. And sometimes I remember the Avdotino house, but, probably, I would not go to live here again, - summed up Sergey.

At the request of "Chronometer" this story was commented on September 3 by the head of the regional office of the organization "Cosmopoisk" Sergei DMITRIEVSKY:
- A similar incident happened in Shuya about a year ago: then police officers, who were driving a service car near the city cemetery, saw, roughly speaking, a ghost running across the road. Shadows or ghosts are often shown near cemeteries or in places of death. So this is generally not surprising. But it's the first time I've heard about Avdotino in this context.

At the request of "Chronometer" about the old Avdotinskoe cemetery on September 8, the candidate of historical sciences, ethnographer Alexander SEMENENKO told:
- Avdotino or Ovdotino is mentioned in the documents of 1584. It was a large village, the center of the parish of the same name. But then the village lost its volost status and became part of the possessions of Count Sheremetev. The cemetery described in the article has existed on the territory of the village since Soviet times, but it is possible that there are earlier burials on it. When in 1958 Avdotino became part of the city of Ivanovo, the burials there ceased. So it became so shabby, without care.
