The Gospel formula - "Our name is legion" - is absolutely correct: whole armies of evil spirits are active on the Astral plane. Every person living in the physical world, in his daily life, all the time faces a moral choice, often not even noticed by himself - the choice between Good and evil. The Christian saying that there is an angel behind the right shoulder of each person and the devil behind the left shoulder reflects the real state of affairs in the Subtle World: each of us is surrounded by both light and dark entities. By their subconscious suggestions, the forces of darkness strive to direct each of us to the worst decisions and actions, thereby involving us in our camp.
The law of free will reigns in the Universe - no one has the right to forcefully incline the human will to good or evil. But the dark forces are furiously trying to act against this law, and in this they are opposed by the forces of Light. Both those and other forces can call a person on their way, but the right to decide belongs to him.
The forces of evil have a whole system of recruiting people to their side - by subconscious suggestions, sooner or later, they begin to process the consciousness of each person, trying to persuade him to violate the foundations of moral commandments. Indeed, most people do not know that these commandments are laws that govern the evolution of the entire universe! Do not lie, do not steal, do not commit adultery, do not kill … Violation of these principles leads to the falling away of the human will from the higher will of the Cosmic Reason. Everyone has the temptation to follow dark suggestions, thereby violating the basic moral commandments. It cannot be otherwise in our world - there has been a war of Good and Evil on Earth since time immemorial, and every person, whether he likes it or not, sooner or later faces a moral choice and must adhere to some pole - or the forces of Good, or the forces of evil.
Everything starts from small, every person from a young age is tested on a subconscious level by many temptations and temptations. If the upbringing given by the family and the moral level of a person achieved in past incarnations make it possible for him not to succumb to these dark suggestions, choosing in life, though not the simplest, but a direct and honest path, the forces of evil retreat, realizing that this person will not break morally, it cannot be lured into your networks.
But if someone from a young age does not disdain to violate basic moral norms, if he resorts to lies, theft, cruelty and meanness, if he allows low thoughts and feelings - greed, anger, hatred - to appear in his mind, then he involuntarily enters the curve a path of service to your lower instincts. And this makes him an easy prey for the forces of evil! Introducing their poisonous magnetism into his consciousness, they will continue to “work” with a person, provoking him to lower and lower actions and aspirations, until he becomes “one of his” in the ranks of dark forces.
At the same time, sometimes people begin to serve the forces of darkness, seemingly not bad at first, but who have one significant drawback - lack of will. Such a deficiency can play a fatal role in a person's reaction to various temptations thrown at him by the darkness. The seducer can be either another person who asked a friend to do something bad, or a person's own lower “I”, or his astral principle, which is inclined to the pursuit of sensual pleasures and entertainment. And if a person cannot remain firm and refuse to violate the moral commandments, if his will falters and he compromises with his conscience, then he will thereby step on the path of cooperation with darkness and betrayal of his spiritual principle. You don't need to be Nero or King Balthazar in order to be in the helpers of the dark forces!
Even seemingly small - at first - compromises with conscience and deliberately bad deeds put a person into the power of darkness. One compromise will be followed by another, after another and a third, the accomplishment of one bad deed will entail the next one - and so a person who seemed to be good at one time, pretty soon gets bogged down in a quagmire of evil and can no longer get out of the vicious karmic circle of evil. And … the new slave of the dark forces is ready. It is the slave, because, unlike the light forces, which never encroach on the free human will, the dark forces seek to enslave his will in order to make him an obedient executor of their designs.

For the most part, people often find themselves defenseless against the forces of evil. To a large extent, this is facilitated by the fact that, due to the materialistic worldview, the majority of modern society simply does not believe in any dark forces. If people knew about the existence of consciously acting dark forces, they would take many things more seriously, they would weigh the consequences of their own thoughts, feelings and actions more carefully, and would also be more attentive to the people around them, and even more so - choose from their number of friends and employees.
However, in our time, few people believe in the existence of a powerful and well-hidden organization of the forces of evil. A person is ready to believe in stories about political conspiracies and harmful political associations - both real and simply invented. But the astral forces of evil and their earthly servants are much more powerful than reactionary political associations.
Magic and witchcraft
The classic, traditional weapons of the dark forces are black magic and sorcery. It should not be assumed that behind the actions of black magicians are only someone's delusional ideas, and magic itself is only an unredeemed superstition, and nothing else.
