In pursuit of a client, travel agencies and excursion bureaus offer the most unusual routes. The latest trend is travel to places of power. If you have time and money, you can go to Karelia or Tuva to see shamans; no - take advantage of budget options.

Sandwiches are allowed, phones are not allowed

A one-day tour to the place of power in the Kaluga region interested me immediately. According to the advertisement, in just a few hours you can visit a unique place where unprecedented miracles occur, heal diseases and make wishes that will certainly come true. And all this for 3000 rubles.

Departure - at 7 am by tourist bus from one of the metro stations. It was ordered to take with you: warm and non-slip shoes - you will have to go along a slushy, in places covered with a crust of ice path in the forest, some container to drink water from a spring or take it with you, and sandwiches (business at places of power has not yet been put on in a big way, and, like other attractions, there are no restaurants there yet). But what is not recommended to take is watches, mobile phones and cameras. They say that due to strong electromagnetic fields, all equipment fails.

The excursion is organized by an ordinary travel agency, a standard contract is concluded with the client. However, no miracles are guaranteed in it, there are only obligations to put the tourist on the bus, provide a guide so that it is not boring to look out the snow-covered window on the way, and then bring him back to the metro station.

Legend of the sorcerer

Promotional video:

I must admit, there were fewer people willing to go on tour than I expected. The bus served an impressive one - for fifty seats, but only … 8 seats were occupied. However, the guide is a nice elderly lady in a wide-brimmed red hat and the same red gloves, she was even glad of this fact. “When there are a lot of people, you have to shout out to everyone, there’s a hum, and I can handle you without a microphone,” she said and, wasting no time, began to tell the legend …

Even if the stories about sorcerers are the fruit of the guide's imagination, and water is actually no more useful than ordinary tap water, people's belief that one such excursion can change their lives for the better is worth a lot.

It turns out that a long time ago, almost three centuries ago, a black sorcerer lived in those places. He did a lot of bad things to people, but at some point he suddenly repented of his sins and decided to come to God in his old age. He prayed - and an angel came down to him, said what to do in order to be forgiven. To do this, one had to go into the depths of a dense and impenetrable forest, without taking anything with you, and live there for exactly a year. Alone, not communicating with anyone, just praying …

The sorcerer left and did not return, which the people to whom he did a lot of harm were only happy. Everyone forgot to think about him. A few years later, a terrible drought struck in those parts and people went to the forest to look for water sources. It was there that they accidentally came across the decayed bones of the sorcerer. As soon as the skull was lifted from the ground, a fountain began to beat from under it. This is how the source of the purest water was discovered, which then saved everyone from thirst and which, by the way, beats without drying out, to this day - almost 300 years, being one of the oldest in the world … However, the place of power was named a clearing with a spring in the forest not for that. In Soviet times, pilgrims from all over the country came to the spring, which the authorities did not like, and they decided to fill it up. On carts in pood sacks, sand was brought and went into the ground, absorbed by holy water. They say they covered him for 30 days, but they never fell asleep … And then the local believers declared him a saint, calling him Pudov's well. And already today, for numerous miracles of healing, the church consecrated the spring, giving it a new name - the source of the Apostles Peter and Paul.

“The mysticism is that this well is revered both by believers, who consider its water holy, and by sorcerers, magicians who come to use its water for rituals…” - concluded the guide.

Send to heaven

An hour and a half driving along the Kiev highway from Moscow, then - following the signs - turn to the village of Lokonskoye. We park in a special clearing near the forest, then - only on foot. Walk about 10 minutes. The trail is wide (apparently, at one time, cars, perhaps, also drove along it), but very traumatic - uneven and slippery, falling and breaking your limbs is a trifling matter. But, fortunately, soon everything is safe and sound we get to the long-awaited place.

A wooden gazebo with a roof was built over the spring itself. Nearby is another annex, to which the "Font" sign is nailed. Nearby - benches made of logs. Who built all this - the guide does not know. “Maybe those who were miraculously healed…” she suggests. “They say that even wheelchair users here got up on their feet as soon as they were dipped into the baptismal font …” In the meantime, he notices that the water never freezes here - all year round, which is another uniqueness of the place, and he says: “It is believed that paradise is in heaven, and hell is in the depths. Here they are connected. Therefore, if we draw water from the depths and look into the sky, we will find ourselves in the center of magical influence. Turn to God in your mind, ask what you need, while drinking water yourself … When you finish, I'm waiting for you on the bus."

She hobbled back, and we - eight desperate seekers of happiness - began greedily drinking the icy water that was burning our throats and sending our requests to the sky. Later, on the way home, they discussed … One lady asked to help her with the upcoming operation, another prayed that her son would find a job, the third had a drinking husband …

After freezing in the forest and asking the bus driver to turn on the stove at full power, everyone drove back in silence, but at the same time everyone had blissfully happy faces … Looking at them, I thought: how good it is that such places exist. And even if the stories about sorcerers are the fruit of the guide's imagination, and water is actually not more useful than ordinary tap water, the belief of people that one such excursion can change your life for the better is worth a lot. What if a miracle actually happens …

As a skeptic, I disobeyed the warning and took my cell phone with me on the tour. Exactly a week later, it stopped turning on, I had to buy a new one. Did he really become a victim of unusual energy or just coincidence - who knows …
