Ilkley Marshes, located not far from the town of the same name in Yorkshire in the UK, have gained fame as perhaps the most amazing anomalous zone of the planet, because the swamps, over which the emissions of rocks from ancient mines rise, very often, in the presence of many eyewitnesses, replace reality with absurdities, yes, such, that the blood runs cold

Arthur Thomplinson, a paranormal researcher living in London, characterizes this miracle of nature, guarded not by God, but by the devil, as follows: “Violence over the psyche of people is the essence of the 'soul' of a quagmire. Century after century the same thing happens here! Dancing poisonous blue lights, sometimes burning out thickets of peculiarly beautiful reeds under the root. Visible, clear projections of people and events of past eras. Huge black or white dogs with torch-like eyes, knocking travelers off their feet not with their weight, but with imaginary aggressiveness, or elusively peacefully disappearing, or being torn to shreds by explosions, leaving handfuls of ash on the paths that can be ignited with a match, for this is the purest sulfur …"

However, Tomplinson attributes all these "tricks" to the side effects of the main phenomenon of swamps - the UFO phenomenon, which he called selective, - says A. Volodev, a researcher of anomalous phenomena. Why selective? But because in the past two decades, only police officers and high officials of the rescue and elimination of the consequences of natural disasters have been involved in it. The most curious thing that haunts not only ufologists, but also representatives of official science, is that the crews of the sparkling disks are allowed to record both themselves and their technical devices on film: this is absolutely not characteristic of a hermetic, mimicking, elusive phenomenon.

However, no matter how series, facts remain facts. They are stubborn things. And the policeman, hiding under the two pseudonyms of Ivan Doe and Philip Spencer, who got into an alteration on December 1, 1987 with the participation of a black stinking dog and a brown humanoid entity, after ten years expressed himself unequivocally: “Something unimaginable happened to me in the swamps, which calls into question everything which is considered normal. Now I exist in a vacuum of unbelief, trying to lean on something solid and that turns out to be an immaterial “hologram” - a product of a quagmire. Despite this, I am convinced that what happened in reality, especially since I have photographs - a reminder that all this bedlam was not a waking dream.

The policeman, who is in the ranks to this day, does not pursue selfish goals, is not inclined to hoax. Simply, fearing to harm his career, he chose to convey to people the truth, as he put it, "without embellishment and while incognito." Let us take this opportunity and present the events in the swamps and in the laboratory of scientists at the University of Manchester in a laconic form.

So, at 7.10 am Dow-Spencer, having hung a Nikon camera loaded with highly sensitive Kodak color film and a case with a compass around his neck, went to the swamps, hoping to photograph the birds with unusual plumage that appeared there. The plans also included an ascent to the crest of an old quarry, from where a picturesque view of the town of Ilkli opened up. The plans fell apart.

A fragment of the police report, compiled at the request of Arthur Thomplinson, looks like this: “After passing the building of the old White Wells bathhouse, I walked along a drainage ditch and tree plantations, went down to the quarry, where I had been many times and never noticed anything unusual. This time a cloud, black like the bootleg and the same shape, touched my head. The dog immediately appeared. Gigantic in size, she moved towards me without touching the ground with her paws. I didn't have time to get scared. Therefore, I managed to click the shutter of the camera several times. The dog disappeared with the sound of a duck flying off the water. Through the viewfinder, I saw her place being taken by a generally curious creature - a brown dwarf with a perfectly round head, puffy arms and legs as if inflated with air.

I pressed the shutter button again and again, trembling with excitement. And the creature was already climbing the ridge, gesturing for me to get out, that it was dissatisfied. I was seized with an obsessive desire to fish it out in order to present it as material evidence. I ran up the ridge. With surprise and annoyance I saw that the fleeing dwarf, taking off from the ground, jumped into a box flowing with molten metal, pushed with a loud bang into the rounded dome of a sparkling, with slovenly sagging disk edges. The disk cut through the cloud-boot and left, uprooting a couple of trees under which I took refuge. I went home to Ilkley. On the way, he was again attacked by a black dog. It did no harm again, exploding like a Christmas firecracker behind me. What amazed me was that this crazy walk took two hours longer than I thought."

After printing the photographs, the policeman found that the camera lens displayed exactly what he saw in the swamps. I called Arthur Thomplinson, who, in turn, contacted Jeffrey Crawley, a British Journal of Photography photojournalist, for assistance. The latter, having subjected the photographs to an examination with the help of a special computer program, concluded that he had not found any traces of installation. The Kodak specialists came to a similar conclusion.

But that's not all. Trying to use his reliable nautical compass, Dow-Spencer was surprised to see that the needle had reversed polarity. This interested the physicist Edward Spooner, chief of the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at the University of Manchester. He took a similar compass and, after a series of unsuccessful attempts, succeeded in changing the polarity of the reference compass. “Of course, some unique external influence was exerted on the policeman's compass,” the scientist concluded, “it is hardly achievable in laboratory conditions. After all, the weakest field that we applied had a magnetic induction of about 0.1 Tesla. This is a monstrous amount, 2000 times greater than that of the Earth's field. Therefore, it is unrealistic to re-magnetize the compass remotely, in the field, without using bulky, energy-saturated magnets, at the modern technological level …"

Thomplinson, having the materials of solid examinations, completely cast aside doubts about the insincerity of the police officer. He told Doe Spencer that the Ilkley swamps, a powerful anomalous zone, were probably playing with him, with others. At this meeting, he asked if the police officer would like to undergo regressive hypnosis in order to find out where he had been for two hours. The officer did not hesitate to agree, for at night he was not let go of obsessive dreams of the bottomless starry sky and the bizarre design of spaceships.

The famous British psychologist and hypnotherapist Jim Singleton took over the case. Under hypnosis, the policeman said that as soon as he fastened the camera case, he found himself in a tube with transparent, brightly luminous walls, embedded in the bottom of the sparkling disc. Only once, while in the plastic, shape-changing white room, did he experience discomfort in the nose when he was subjected to a medical examination with an apparatus that took the outlines of his naked body. Then he was shown two films-warnings about the future of the Earth: the water of the oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, poisoned by industrial emissions, destroyed to the foundation of the city, the mass painful extinction of people and animals from hunger and thirst.

The third film was about delicate events that did not do Dow Spencer's credit. He categorically refused to describe its content either in hypnotic sleep or in the waking state. The stay aboard the UFO ended with a distant space voyage. The policeman visited the planets whose inhabitants did not need anything, flourished. “They have no idea about procreation in our understanding, because they have no genitals. These pseudo-humans, with three fingers on their hands and two on their legs with a fork, are definitely immortal, definitely intelligent robots,”said Doe-Spencer.

The Coe & Caf cliffs are 400 meters from the quarry where the policeman was abducted by aliens. The paved Edzingham Road is nearby. Here, over the past five years, four policemen, three firefighters and two rescuers got on board one by one. All of them willingly made contact with ufologists, who found out that the abductions developed according to a monotonous, routine scenario. Perhaps the black dogs were absent. "What does all this mean?" - asks the geophysicist Paul DeVero. And he replies: "Swamps are directly related to the seismic stresses of the soil, releasing energies that distort the fundamental properties of space-time, when the usual course of things seems to turn upside down, developing falsely." May be so. But where does the rock of ancient mine dumps go, which is annually decreasing by three percent? So far, nobody needs it. It is invaluable for future technologies.
